7.5% deep amber colour with a very thin head, fruity malt aroma, warming dry fruity caramel taste. kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 5, 2012
The head is unstable, the body red. It smells sweet alcoholic. The taste is malty and alcoholic, intensive wine. In the aftertaste malty, stronger alcoholic. Ok 9/10/10/11/10/10 kevnic2008 (11965) - Baden-Baden, GERMANY - MAY 1, 2012

Reddish brown pour with a small head. It is sweet and yeasty. Nothing special. ads135 (4587) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JAN 21, 2012
Not a strong showing for Brand, but in keeping with expectations. For the price, a decent beer. Reddish brown appearance, average head, with the flavor of bread and a bit of fruit. ElDesmadre (3626) - Mikołów, POLAND - JAN 9, 2012
Bottle, thanks to Bierkoning. Red-brown with a small head that is quickly gone. Aroma is mainly caramelly, bready malty and hoppy, the spiciness and fruitiness (apples and redcurrant) seem to be relegated into the background. Light to light-moderate body, quite sweet, caramelly, malty taste with some little fruit and spices, finished by a moderate hop bitterness. The alcohol is well hidden, besides its warming effect. Easy drink and quaffable on one hand, not too complex on the other, without any sharp edges. Sort of like a Belgian strong ale for the masses. MADpalace (219) - Budel, NETHERLANDS - DEC 30, 2011
Rose red collor, semi-transparant. Not a particular smell with light sweetness. Strong bitter sweetness with mild acid after-taste. Tmrobotix (44) - Amsterdam, NETHERLANDS - DEC 21, 2011
First off: Expected more, really enjoyed Brand’s duppelbock.
Aroma: Very yeasty!
Appearance: Beer looks amber, slightly sparkling, beautiful head, cool!
Taste: The yeast takes over but there’s no bitterness very profound nor sweetness. No sourness. Just watery yeast.
Palate: Decent, nothing special.
Overall: Very dissapointing, it doesnt has the dryness of other Belgian Strong ales, nor does it has any intense aromas. There’s nothing that makes this beer special except for the waterness that normal pilsners have. ALl in all, a watered down version of a Belgian Strong ale.
The duppelbock of brand is really good, shame this one is.
