Tap in Maastricht: A long time no see. A orange amber coloured beer with a high alcohol thats very drinkable. DanBerg (59) - Alkmaar, NETHERLANDS - JAN 26, 2007
Very nice Belgian ale. I had about six of them at de Boom in Alkmaar. You won’t say that there’s 7,5% in it. Sweet and spicy. The aftertaste is great too. Will drink this more often. Gangstergafje (1142) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - MAY 13, 2016
The beer looks nice. The color of the brew is a reddish orange. It isn’t really amber colored, it’s to red for that. The beer is crystal clear. I can look through it like its water. Not a single bubble can be seen in the beer. The beer pours a small layer of slightly tinted foam. The foam collapses quickly, to leave almost nothing. The smell of the beer is lovely. It’s very fruity and has a good sweetness. I smell banana, raisins, almonds, some distinguished smokey touches, alcohol, all really nice rather warming aromas. The beer is perfect for the late fall and early winter. It’s warming aromas, with some autumn touches to it, with the raisins, some spices I smell. It’s lovely I think. The taste is also nice. It has all those things the smell has to, but it’s more blended together. In the smell al aromas are individually perceptible, but in the taste all flavor a come together in a homogeneous, warming rich and sweet taste with a nice bitter pinch. The finish starts with a little taste of metal. The finish is quite long and is filled with the raisins and almonds mostly. The palate of the beer is exceptionally good. The beer has a medium-strong body, with a fizzy carbonation. The texture is rather slick I think. A nice beer it is.

Tap in Gauda. Very nice beer. I had also 3 bottles of previous beers last year. Sylvester from 84 till 87 still very nice but also stronger at that time 9 % and in 87 8%. kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - MAR 15, 2011
Bottle looks simple and a bit complex. Beer in the glass brown, red glimmer, nice head. Starts malty and very spicy, like chrismas spices, some cinnamon. Finish warming with a soft alcoholic touch, well balanced. I really liked it! Lore (2747) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 19, 2016
clear amber colour, creamy yellowish hed;aroma of caramel, fruitiness, some floral notes, alcohol and maybe hints of nuts; taste is the same; not an extraordinary Belgian strong ale, but still enjoyable Sully (1380) - Potts Point, New South Wales, AUSTRALIA - DEC 13, 2004
Welcome back to life Sylvester. This is around a lot of localAmsterdam cafes and it is a welcome antidote to the cold. Very vinous with some cheery notes this is a very good beer. Excellent coppery colour and presentation in the glass promise a good beer which is not a disappointment. Great bitter blanace and fine aftertaste. A real alternative to a wine and this could be served at room temperature. Borresteijn (7174) - Zaandam, NETHERLANDS - AUG 14, 2008
On tap, last winter. Dark amber with a purple hue, creamy white head. Aroma of caramel sweetness and spice. Flavour is soft, sweet, christmas spice, bitter finish. Soft mouthfeel, very nice beer.
