Keg at Flying Saucer. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malts, big liquorice vibe, umami, treacle, toasted sesame and light sit sauce. The taste is smooth, slick, sticky, liquorice, meaty, marmite, charred wood, ash, Asian fruit, peppery with a very dry, charred finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. A bit harsh overall. Andrew196 (2061) - Katy, Texas, USA - SEP 5, 2016
A remarkable beer! Pours jet black with a cappuccino head, very consistent lace. Huge aroma, lots going on...Kahlua, cocoa powder, whiskey, coffee notes but a nice sweet woodiness. Much more lactic on the tongue, but smoothly so. Thick and chewy. Dark cherries, chocolate, notes of coffee, whiskey and a pleasant hop bitter bite. Loved it.
