Large bubbles, and a Great aroma. Citrus and hops...Great smooth taste, with lots of hops. if you’re an IPA fan, this is an ale you’ll love unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - MAR 30, 2013
22oz bottle. Clear, orange\amber color. White head. Overwhelming nose of citrusy hops. Loads of citrus, hops, and some pineapple juice scent as it warms. Overall aroma smells like a dry hopped Double IPA. Flavor of sharp hops. More hops on the palate on top of the already hop floral nose. Hops, hops, hops. Under all of the hop bitterness, there is a silky\sticky malt backbone that has flavors of pale malts and puffed wheat. Wheat malt and citrus, finishes with a bit of alcohol as well. This beer is definitely not a Wheat Ale, this is an Imperial/Double IPA for sure.

Bomber. Pours a hazy orange with a frothy white head. Minimal lacing. Aroma of citrus rinds and pine hops. Wheat and grass with some pineapple. Taste citrus and pine hops. Sweet malt backbone. Pineapple and wheat are subtle throughout. Sticky on the palate. Medium bodied. Slightly dry bitter finish with a a sweet lingering aftertaste. Definitely made interesting by all the different characteristics. thornecb (5920) - Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA - DEC 19, 2012
Pours deep hazed gold into a tulip. Bright white head with good retention recedes soapily. Passion fruit, pineapple and grapefruit aromas. Thick with sweet caramel and wheat upfront turning quickly tropical fruits and resin before the bitter grapefruit pith finish. flywatt (24) - East Haven, Connecticut, USA - MAY 11, 2013
Mesmerizing orange color, loved the pour. Boasts a good bite, unexpected but pleasant. The "mystery" ale was intriguing, leaning more towards a pale ale. Loved this beer. Highly recommended. Brash has done it again!

Very similar to the Ninkasi Triceratops DIPA. Cloudy, apricot color and a thin head. Very complex concoction of citrus and pine hops that had me as confused as the Grinch on Christmas, but delighted nevertheless. Shared with friends who weren’t used to brews of this nature, but it was well received. commonmac (1249) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Tap at New Bohemia. Very interesting combination of flavors from the beginning to the end. Aroma leans more towards the IPA side. Taste is initially sweet but follows up more like double IPA. Alcohol is present but not overpowering. An easy drinking beer. Recommended. Ratman197 (14852) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - SEP 6, 2013
Bomber poured a clear gold with a small lasting white head. Aromasof biscuit, cat piss, earthiness, grapefruit and light pine. Palate was medium bodied and crisp with a dry finish. Flavors of biscuit, earthiness, dank bud, grapefruit and a hint of pine with a crisp dry lingering bitter finish. superspak (5606) - Michigan, USA - JAN 19, 2014
22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 5/24/2013. Pours moderately hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass, with a good amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, lemon zest, orange rind, floral, grass, wheat, bread, honey, pine, pepper, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hop, malt, and earthy/spicy yeast notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, lemon zest, orange rind, wheat, bread, honey, floral, grass, pine, pepper, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness. Good amount of pine bitterness and pepper/clove spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel/rind, lemon zest, wheat, bread, honey, floral, grass, pine, pepper, clove, herbal, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice balance and complexity of citrus/tropical hops, malt, and spicy/earthy yeast flavors; with a great malt/spice/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a lightly creamy/slick and moderately sticky/crisp mouthfeel that is very nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a light warming present after the finish. Overall this is an excellent wheatwine style! All around great complexity and balance of citrus/tropical hops, malt, and spicy/earthy yeast flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the ABV. A very enjoyable offering. commonshawn (1261) - Minnesota, USA - FEB 1, 2014
Tap. New Bohemia small pour. Gold with white head. Floral fruit, maybe grapefruit. Aroma is nice. Taste is more ipa than wheat. Tart and then dry, but the floral fruit lingers. Taste carries through for a long time. Very interesting and easy to drink. Happy to have it for my 200th beer rated.
