Bottle thanks to a trade! Pours near black with a brown head that dissiaptes quickly to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of sweet chocolate with a hint of bitterness and strong backing roasted malts. Flavor is also full of chocolate with strong roasted malts and a hint of dark grains.

22oz bottle pours a thick dark blackness with a small brown head. Sweet and chocolaty with a slight hoppiness.

Fun milk stout. Big bitterness... and chocolate milk. Something that needs to be shared. My Kaufman resealer helped me over a couple hours. Big black, thick mouthfeel. Not the best milk stout or imperial stout, but still worth trying.

Pours a rich, oily, black sable with a thick, fizzy, dark tan head that, unfortunately, doesnt stick around too long. Strong aroma fills the nose with roast malt, chocolate, coffee and licorice notes. Flavor is even better, featuring smoky malt, coffee, semi-sweet chocolate and licorice with hints of caramel and molasses. Texture, though thick and oily, lacks fizz and life. Still, an enjoyable and worthy stout.

Jet black used motor oil pour with little to no head. Peculiar tan ring though all the way to the bottom of the glass. Aromas of alcohol, chocolate and cream. Tate is very similar but smooth for 10%abv.

This one didnt stand out as having any chocolate milk notes for me. I nursed the pint for an hour. Color is ink black. Pour is thick. Little head. Nose is not too strong. Look, it was a good experience, but not up there like ST Choklat. I feel the expectation of a real presence of that good ol milk chocalte carton was missing.

14 July 2013, bottle. Black. Nose is acidic dark chocolate. Med body and moderately fizzy. Big tobacco or anise flavors. Not sweet at all. Bitter chocolate. Kind of dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at 1000 Beers. What a great beer, just a tad of hops, a little smoke and lots of resin and camphor. Black and aromatic. Definetly a sipping beer.

UPDATED: JUL 8, 2013 Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a small foamy beige head that left no lacing. The aroma was very faint with touches of anise, cola, wood and black licorice. The flavor was bitter with moderate notes of anise, wood, cola, vanilla and black licorice. Long cola, vanilla and anise finish. Lingering black licorice. Medium body though undercarbonated. Disappointing.

Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours black with not much of a brown head. Taste is roasted malts, creamy mouth feel and some star anise flavors
