(bottle - 22 oz) Pitch black pour with a creamy tan head. Heavy roasted malt and chocolate aroma. Lots of roasted and burnt notes. Flavor is thick and roasty as well. Tons of chocolate and coffee with a very thick mouthfeel. [9/9/15]

Bottle, shared with Parksy and others. Very dark brown, light brown head. Sweet cocoa and bitter roast, very fudgey and rich. Nice, but I’m glad I had people to share it with.

Bottle to tulip (thanks Ferris) Lots of chocolate, lots of caramel, a little rye, plum, and port. Dark silky looking black with a thin light brown head. Taste is caramel, chocolate, and loads of malts.

Appearance: nearly solid black with one finger of dense mocha head, excellent retention and decent lacing. (4/5) Aroma: chocolate, mild coffee, roasty malts, some dark fruit. (8/10) Taste: moderately strong sweet, moderate bitter. (8/10) Palate: full body tending a little to the watery, low carbonation, warming finish. (4/5) I’m not sure it’s "making love to your mouth like a horny sorority girl”, but it’ll do. The body seems viscous at the outset, but turns slightly watery midway. The bitterness does pretty well at balancing the sweetness, but it lingers a little too much, making for a little bit of an edge to the finish. Still pretty good, though! (16/20)

Love it. Pours a dark, viscous black with a thin tan head. The aroma is rich, complex and roasted heavily with a surprising amount of fruity notes. A bit too sweet for me with but heavy enough to balance out. Chocolate is plentiful with a bit of espresso, vanilla and a creamy, smooth finish. Warm with alcohol and a hit of bitter roasted notes. Delicious.

650ml bottle pours black in color with a finger of light brown head that leaves some spotted lacing on the glass. Aroma is chocolate with roasted grains and dark fruits. Taste is a dark fruity and chocolate malty sweetness with a roasted grain bitterness. Full bodied with modest carbonation. Mouth fell is quite smooth for such a high ABV ale. Overall, a star is born, as this is quite a tasty and well balanced Imperial stout.

Pours very dark brown with a mocha colored head that fades quickly. Nose is syrupy black cherries, cola, slight acetone. Flavor is lots of milk chocolate, black cherry, cola, burnt toast, molasses. Interesting flavor, not what I was expecting at all. Very luscious and creamy mouthfeel with a medium to heavy body. A little fizzier than I would have liked. Pretty interesting taste. No real heat from the alcohol. Not too bad.
