Dont wreck a sublime chocolate experience by feeling guilty. Chocolate isnt like premarital sex. It will not make you pregnant. And it always feels good. Imperial chocolate milk stout brewed with real cocoa, clocking in at 10%abv, and making love to your mouth like a horny sorority girl.

22oz bottle. Very dark, black color. Very boozy nose! Loads of high cacao dark chocolate, hints of barrel aging smell as well. Charred flavor, burnt grains & sugars, fusel/booze. Finishes with notes of cocoa. Its a big beer, needs to be shared, too much for just one person! (4258)

Bottle from Hop City, Atlanta. Pours a rich, dark brown, little to no head. Aroma lots of cocoa, Hersheys baking chocolate. Body lithe, slippery, roasty, slight boozy bite. Overall, really well-balanced, with a lingering roasty bitterness.

Bottle and served in snifter: Pours a deep colour, near opaque with a fading head (likely cocoa oils causing that), zero head retention or lace. A bit brash with heavy roast and char with dark chocolate overtones. Some herbal and piney hop notes in addition to the faint prune, fig, and leathery notes. Still the body seems a tad too thin for the flavor profile, not overly complex despite what wrote before. Drinkable

Bomber. Pours a thick black with a frothy mocha colored head. Aroma is so sweet. Loads of cocoa, caramel, and roasted malts. Sweet chocolatey goodness wraps around the palate. Its so thick and creamy. Sweetness is balanced out by a nice butter tingle on the finish. Pretty enjoyable. ABV is hidden very well.

Bottle purchased at Sicilianos in Grand Rapids. Pitch black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma of chocolate, bitter roast and creamy malt. Malty flavor with sweet chocolate before a dense, roasty finish.

Pours a thick, deep brown almost black with minimal head retention. Nose is strongly of cocoa and a bit smokey. Starts with a strong punch of pure chocolate. Its a bit bitter on the tongue but it finishes with the sweetness more typical of milk stouts. One of the better chocolate stouts Ive had. Pretty filling as well. Final note: I was surprised at the alc content because its masked fairly well.

This is a very well done beer. Big without being harsh. Roasty without being ashy. Rich without being cloying. Definitely a hearty sweet beer, loads of chocolate, but not overdone.
