Don’t wreck a sublime chocolate experience by feeling guilty. Chocolate isn’t like premarital sex. It will not make you pregnant. And it always feels good. Imperial chocolate milk stout brewed with real cocoa, clocking in at 10%abv, and making love to your mouth like a horny sorority girl.

Bottle purchased at Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids. Pitch black pour with a thick brown head. Aroma of chocolate, bitter roast and creamy malt. Malty flavor with sweet chocolate before a dense, roasty finish.

Draft at crunchy's. Dark with a dark head. Dark chocolate and boozy. Really smooth.

Pours a thick, deep brown almost black with minimal head retention. Nose is strongly of cocoa and a bit smokey. Starts with a strong punch of pure chocolate. It’s a bit bitter on the tongue but it finishes with the sweetness more typical of milk stouts. One of the better chocolate stouts I’ve had. Pretty filling as well. Final note: I was surprised at the alc content because it’s masked fairly well.

aracauna (3680) - Georgia, USA - APR 20, 2014
This is a very well done beer. Big without being harsh. Roasty without being ashy. Rich without being cloying. Definitely a hearty sweet beer, loads of chocolate, but not overdone.

Very drinkable for the ABV. Plenty of chocolate, with easy-drinking lactose flavors as well. I’m a fan, but it isn’t the most complex, and the finish is a bit short for an imperial stout.

Bomber from the Art of Beer. Pours a very dark brown with a brown head leaving nice streaks of lace. Aroma has sweet chocolate, heavy roast, caramel, some lactose and faint smoke. Taste is of sweet caramel, milk chocolate, licorice, some roasty espresso and sugar. Medium to full bodied with some alcohol presence. Finishes sweet and somewhat bitter. Long and lactose-y. If they were trying for "imperial chocolate milk stout", as stated, they hit it. Lotta flavor and depth, but sweet; almost an imperial porter, but even sweet for that. Eyed this for a while; shame that it seems to have broken down a bit, or just the style aimed for is too much.

Strong aroma with coffee and alcohol. This matches the flavor, which has coffee, dark chocolate, and whiskey. The aftertaste is surprisingly short. Medium-heavy body.

Black pour from bottle. Think off white head. Chocolate and cocoa flavor and aroma. Flight whiskey taste with plum and grapefruit notes. Good ass beer

ansermadide (1526) - Kyle, Texas, USA - MAR 10, 2014
This pours beautifully black, with a reddish brown head. It has a nose of chocolate powder/cocoa nibs and a slight roast malt/coffee character. It’s light in the mouth, rich on the palate, and the chocolate is very mellow. What a great balance! It has a nice alcohol level as well - easy, but present. Impressive.

Very subtle chocolate nose. Flavor is of dark fruit with coffee and chocolate underneath. Tasty but nothing to rave about
