Pours black, dark tan head with large bubbled foam.
Roasty chocolate, peat aroma.
Chocolate, cream flavor.
A little oily, a little smoky.
Very good. BigBeer45 (1532) - Michigan, USA - OCT 6, 2013
Bomber bottle from Champanes,
this beer had a dark brown-black pour and made a tan colored half finger head that receded to a sparse cover, there were small spots of lacing on the sides of the glass as I drank, the bottle had a partial ring of sediment along the edge of the bottom and there was a film on the bottom,
this impy had aromas of roasted malt, chocolate, faint coffee, very faint vanilla and a little brown sugar sweetness,
it had flavors of roasted malt, chocolate and some coffee, there was malt and brown sugar sweetness,
there was a little bitterness after the finish with a little malt and sweetness, the bitterness was from the alcohol in this drink, as this drink warmed, the alcohol became more apparent,
the mouth feel was about medium, it felt light for a imperial stout, there was average carbonation, as this beer warmed up, it felt watery on the palate,
this drink was ok, it was a typical imperial stout with simple roasted malt flavors with chocolate, it was not interesting, the roasted malt aroma or flavor did not have depth, not a bad drink but not a contender with the better impys available. shrubber85 (11401) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 5, 2013

A top tier milk stout! It has a rich black color. It has a smoky, malty, chocolate aroma. The flavor is a very complex, dark chocolate, milk chocolate, vanilla, and caramel all mixed together. Very rich and delicious! This is a wonderful dessert beer, or "hot chocolate for adults"

A great milk stout. Pours an amazingly thick inky black with a brown head. Smells like toasted nuts, caramel, chocolate and vanilla. Taste is great. Starts off sweet and creamy, then finishes with some bitter chocolate. Super thick. Would be great with ice cream. Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone rxeight (3082) - Illinois, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Lots of milk chocolate, medium sweetness. This is a really good milk stout. Impressed by this one. Pailhead (6539) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - SEP 20, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of dark chocolate, cocoa, and roasted coffee. It pours a dark brown with a minimal beige head. The flavor starts dark chocolate, light fruit, and a touch of cocoa. The finish light-moderate roasted coffee and a touch of roasted nuts. It’s medium bodied with mild carbonation. tectactoe (3125) - Michigan, USA - SEP 20, 2013
UPDATED: MAR 11, 2015 Bottle: Thanks, Kevin! Very dark, black pour with a super dark tan film that is completely gone in seconds. Aroma is deep roast, dark cocoa beans, mild coffee grounds, maybe only a touch of dark fruit. Taste is full of roasted malt, light ashiness with some timid coffee and dark, unsweet cocoa notes. Very mild finishing licorice and prune touch, but the roast and coffee notes linger. Mild astringency grows with warmth. Medium, sharp body. Decent.
