Pretty good. The coffee isnt up front. Shows up a lot more in the finish. Clean. AirForceHops (7689) - Epping, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 25, 2016
Two consecutive years I sampled this beer with an older bottled on date. Hopefully the coffee held up in this vintage because two years ago it turned acidic and bitter. *sigh* Ok, Here we go, Pitch black color with thin tan head. Aroma is sweet dark chocolate malts with earthy coffee tones.wrlangin (226) - Brisbane, AUSTRALIA - JAN 12, 2016
Flavor of mild roasted malts, burnt coffee, and dark chocolate. Light-medium bodied, with moderate carbonation and a slightly acidic coffee bean in the finish. The bottle is over a year old and most coffee beers should NOT be held that long. I kind of expected the coffee to be turning at this point. Booze is also still lightly noticeable. Still better than the first time I sampled it. Perhaps I don’t really like this certain coffee bean. Still decent but I give up my search for a fresh bottle at this point.
Very good imperial porter. Strong coffee taste. Much better than expected based on other reviews.

Aromas of dark roasted malt, coffee roast, toffee, figs, raisins, earthy roast and slight chocolate. Pours black with a nearly non existent foam rim. Taste is extremely smooth with creamy caramel, coffee, espresso, latte, milk chocolate, dark cacao, dark chocolate, toffee, slight nuttiness, almond milk and roasted malts. Finishes boozy with residual chocolate & coffee. Overall, very smooth and flavorful offering. A- rating.

Dark brown color with small amount of mocha head. Aroma is very muted with some dark fruits, mocha, and mild oxidation. Taste is robust roastyness with a dark fruit sweet malty front. Oily and flabby low carb palatw. slowrunner77 (12594) - Reno, Nevada, USA - AUG 6, 2015
Brash is a good descriptor of this beast. Dark as night, very coffee forward (though the coffee at times seems a little green). Hoppy and bitter as well as heavily roasted. Did I mention the coffee? Very enjoyable. Not quite elite. dfinney23 (3395) - Houston, Texas, USA - MAY 16, 2015
Dark with a sizable brown sugar head. Terrific coffee flavor, low on bitterness, smooth and roasty. ordybill (1815) - Douglasville, Georgia, USA - APR 21, 2015
Poured from a bomber into a pint glass.
Aroma- Has a big coffee aroma with some spices tossed in.
Appearance- This beer is a dark brown to black color with a nice sized tan head.
Taste- Has a bitter flavor mixed with the coffee and yeast, not bad, but not great.
Palate- A heavy bodied beer with moderate carbonation. Has a dry finish.
Overall- Not great, but a fairly solid beer. It is worth a try. RexTalionis (3782) - FINLAND - MAR 30, 2015
Bottle. Near black in color with a steady creamy tan head. Lots of roasted notes, dark chocolate and lushy licorice in aroma. Light spicyness and bit of leathery vinous notes as well. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Well roasted coffee, just like level 5 löfbergs, some chocolatecakey notes in taste. Enough with bitters though maintaining the drinkability good here. There’s even a nice touch of dark fruity vinousness and licorice in aftertaste.
