OG 1.061
An East Yorks version of the fashionable US West Coast style.
Bitterness is balanced by malt sweetness in our IPA and dry-hopping rounds out the aroma.
Three hop types in this one, to justify the ’sunshine-in-a-glass’ claim.

Keg at Furley & Co, Hull. Pours almost clear weak nut brown, with a small white head. Aroma of nutty malts, resiny and piney hops. Taste is light bitter with a creamy mouthfeel, decent dry lingering finish

From keg at Furley & Co, Hull, East Yorkshire, with OGJ 05.01.18. Clear orange. Dense and persistent off-white head and lacing. Fine aroma and taste of Sevilla marmalade, malt and sweet citrus. Medium citrus bitterness is lingering on.

Cask at The White Swan, shared with ManVsBeer. Nitro creamy, beige head. Next to clear amber body. Spotty lacing. Mid-sweet caramel malts, hints of fruits. Malt-fruity flavours of caramel, apricot, and marmalade. Citrus shells to the ending. Medium bodied. Soft in the mouth. Tasty. (Leeds 06.07.2017).

Enjoyable American pale ale style beer drunk from bottle bought from the Ossett bierhuis shop.

On tap @Mad for Beer (Rome). Gialla, leggermente torbida, schiuma media bianca. Al naso sentori floreali, geranio, erbaceo, agrumi. In bocca è squilibrata, base di malto media con finale amaro leggero, astringenza. Corpo medio-esile, carbonazione media. Male.

Dark amber colour. Pine, apricot and grapefruit aroma. Taste is very resin, with biscuit, marmalade and floral. Creamy mouthfeel. Slightly dry but soft biscuit and grapefruit finish.

Cask. Pours copper to amber body thin white lace top that yields strong lacing. Aroma grapefruit and lemon marmalade. Taste has a similar preponderance of hops with muted biscuit malt. The citrus flavours linger on the palate and it has a soft finish. Pleasant but I want more complexity in a 5.7% beer. I guess that is why it’s an American pale.

Can. Nose is is a big, malty, grapefruit, lime and orange. Taste is orange peel, grapefruit, malt, yeast, pine resin finish. Slick mouthfeel. A perfectly nice example.

on tap ramato schiuma media filo ossidato luppolato discreto amaro ma piuttosto bilanciata

imdownthepub (15638) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 29, 2016
Cask conditioned at Cheltenham Beer Festival ’16. Gold with white head. There is quite a resinous start to this, drying then a tangy orange peel note. Bitter but quite refreshing. Good stuff.
