Pours deep brown with a small tan head. Aroma is earthy, roast, carmel and light hint of citrus. Taste is very mild bitters with some sweetness. Light bodied and very very thin mouth feel. Overall, this was ok and seemed to be lacking a real clear direction as to what type of beer it wants to be as it is certainly not in the vein of a Black IPA.

12oz bottle. Smooth and easy on the palate. Roasty chocolate, slick black malt, and a steady juniper balance. Unique, rather excellent beer. A pleasure to drink. Lots of finesse, not sugary or too heavy but still full bodied. Solid offering, quite enjoyable. My favorite Porter I’ve had in ages.

Brown in colour with a large off-white head and lots of carbonation. Initial aroma was fruity and yeasty, raisins, bready and some nuts. There is some strange earthiness to this beer with slight sweetness of toffee and caramel. Hops bitterness comes through in the flavour, herbal with dark chocolate and more breadiness. The taste has a strange bitterness to it that might be coming from the juniper berries and this combined with the wet herbalness is not making this beer a favourite of mine.

Bottle, some time after expiration date. Ruby in colour, small beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel and tons of dried fruits. In taste sweet with dried fruits, figs, raisins, plum, a bit too much of them I think. No roastiness, chocolate etc. Medium body, massive level of carbonation. Ok.

Warka do 06.2014, wiec juz sporo po terminie. Kolor rubinowy, wlasciwie idealnie klarowne (ale na dnie butelki pozostalo sporo brzydkiego, grudkowatego osadu). W aromacie gorzka czekolada, kakao w proszku, kawa, lekki amerykanski chmiel, troche jalowca. W odczuciu wysokie, musujace wysycenie, polwytrawne, gladkie.

26.11.2014, 0,33l bottle sampled @ BBGTC tasting:
Nice light brown creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly sweet fruity, caramel, dried dark fruits, yeast, banana, roasted grain, almond cake, toast, paper. Taste is medical harsh, paper, weeds, wet grain, medicine, sugar, dark fruits. Medium bitterness, medical harsh mouthfeel. Meh!!

Dark pour producing a small tan head. Aroma is fruity and malty sweet. Notes of bready dough and caramel. Taste is sweet at first but turns bitter, even medicinal. Medium body and soft co2.

ClubGonzo (5683) - Bergen, NORWAY - NOV 26, 2014
Bottle, shared with BBGTC. Pours a dark brown body with a medium creamy beige head. Nose is caramel, raisins, dark malts, brown bread and hints of bubble gum, straw and nuts. Taste is bitter herbs, resin, harsh nuts, dark chocolate, cocoa and hints of bread dough. Medium creamy body, soft to medium carbonation. Fair enough, but quite bitter in an unexpected, harsh-like manner which draws the score down somewhat.
