Purchased in a mixed 4-pack with the other fruit ones (orange, cherry and raspberry). Pours a clean golden colour with a frothy white head, good retention and thick lacing. Aromas of real apple juice, not the fake candy apple stuff. The mouthfeel is almost tarty. Mild apple taste with some nice grain showing up in the finish (which was not in the orange version). You can see that real apple juice was added to this one as the colour is deeper golden. Not a cider, but a nice refreshing light apple ale.

Bottle 341ml. Pours with a serious gusher. Hazy/dirty pale golden. White head. Aroma is of weird chemical apple flavor. Taste is pretty much the same. Some unpleasant acidity, but mostly boring apple essence. Palate: Light body. High carbonation. Overall: Not good.

Apple juice, sums this up pretty accurately. The only good thing about this beer is the apple flavor. It doesn’t taste artificial, which is nice to find in a fruit beer. But really, it’s just 4% apple juice.

(Rating #3958)

Bottle: Poured alight clear orangey color ale with a small bubbly head with minimal retention and not much lacing. Aroma consists of artificial apple syrup with sweet notes. Taste is also dominated by sweet apple notes with artificial syrup notes and overly sweet finish. Body is light with fizzy carbonation. Not sure what market they are aiming at with this one but I have a hard time thinking they will succeed.

Viper666 (6034) - Richelieu, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 17, 2011
Bouteile 341ml.

341ml bottle. Just hoping its not as bad as the raspberry. Straw yellow with white head. Apple juice, but slightly off like they couldn’t decide between children’s apple juice and something tart and cider like. Good carbonation, taste isn’t great but nearly as bad as the aroma, slightly tart but good apple juice artificial flavour. Somewhat dry finish. May actually be the best of the 4 (if I didn’t have a fondness for cherry popsicles) but still very bad.

rodenbach99 (4572) - Longueuil, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 20, 2011

sseb69 (1932) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 14, 2011
Bouteille 341 ml. 4%. Couleur jaune pâle, mousse blanche. Arôme de pomme. En bouche, malt et pomme verte. Finele d’amertume de pomme. Correct.

Eructoblaster (4330) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 30, 2011
Bottle - 341ml. Blond body with heavy carbonation and a diminishing white bubbly head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with apple hints. Taste is well balanced but is rather thin. The malt base is easily detectable. Ends with a short herbal/fruity finish. Not bad.
