Slinte mhr agad !

Scotch Ales originated in Scotland, but a little-known fact is that versions were also created in Belgium. In tribute to the Scottish soldiers who helped free Belgium at the end of World War II, Belgian brewers began to brewing the beer style loved by their Scottish liberators. Brewed according to this tradition, Le Trinqueur offers a nice, round maltiness with hints of dried fruit and burnt caramel. Coriander seeds add a fine herbal note to complement these flavours.

A savourer !

Bien

341 ml bottle. Bottled on 02/2016. BBE 02/2019.
Pours dark brown color with a small off-white head. Very nutty and dry malty aroma, some loaf bread, caramel, subtle coriander. Very spicy flavor, very subtle peppery burning sensation even, again some nutty-malty dryness, mild caramel sweetness accompanied by toffee and wooden tones on the short finish, maybe some dried fruits on the background too. Full-bodied, thick, soft carbonation, refined. Very nice.
