The Ancient Egyptians believed that bees were born from the tears of the sun god Ra. They used honey to flavor and provide divine or curative value to several foods and drinks. More than 5000 years ago, Egyptians were already making grain-based beer to which honey was often added. It is in honour of ancient Egypt and the tears of their sun god that we created the Nectareüs. With its wildflower honey notes and lightly toasted grain flavour, our tasty honey brown ale has a mild bitterness and a malty sweet finish.

Senteur d’épices. Beaucoup, beaucoup de broue, peu effervescente. Pas âcre, goute peu le miel.

From a 500ml bottle. I have found this one to be way too sweet and unbalanced IMO. Harsh after taste. Had a hard time finishing it.

Pours a mahogany-copper colour with a mocha thick head, but not creamy, lasting an average time with not much lacing. Very sweet nose of brown sugars and loads of apples. After a sip, I get some slight creamy lacing. The taste is not as sweet as expected from the aromas. Malted roasted grain with some decent hops that calms the sweetness. Nutty notes with the mild honey appearing in the aftertaste. Seems like a red ale. That’s about it. Nothing exceptional. Maybe a little too much yeast. Something off overall.

Pours hazy amber topped by a finger of beige head showing average retention but leaving good lacing. Vivid micro carbonation spotted through the copper highlights. The nose is sweet, toffee, honey, caramel malts and some earthy hops. The taste is semi sweet, earthy. Medium body with an oily feel. Medium earthy finish with a touch of sweetness of molasses and dark fruits. Cheers!

500 ml bottle from St. Nicholas Metro. Pours an orange-tinged darkish brown with modest-sized light tan head with good retention. Aroma is rather sweet with lots of caramel, some honey, dark fruit, toast and flowers. Flavour is also on the sweet side with big caramel, plum and honey with toasted graininess offering some balance and a gentle floral note. Mouthfeel is a little sticky. Nice.

Fiche technique Style: Brown Ale Format: 500 ml Taux d?alcool : 6,5% Température: 8°C

Pour is a pretty, light-catching brown with a two finger cap that’s gone in a hurry. Nose is, predictably lots of honey and caramel, brown/burnt sugar, plums/dark fruit, toasted grains, molasses. Taste-wise it’s sweet and slightly syrupy without being cloying. And the finish is just dry enough to make this surprisingly drinkable. Nice.
