Beautiful to look at with its dense, lasting white tower of foam above its hazed very pale golden coat. Mellow lemony citrus accents blend with clovey/phenolic spiciness and wonder bread white doughiness. Very easy to drink, but not particularly engaging .Very timid maltiness, the agressive carbonation not helping, it seems to be almost pure foam we have in mouth, with a fair bit of carbonic acid that dominates the finish with a vague spiciness. Some Hefeweizen characterictics, but without the cereal structure. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 23, 2011
341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. BIG GUSH.Lubiere (13915) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 21, 2011
App.: Hazy light golden with a large, frail white head.
Aroma: Lots of yeast and wet bread dough, soapy citrus and coriander, some esters, a tangy fruit note and a bit of resinous hops?, more wet dough, meh.
Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence.
Flav.: More fruity and estery than the nose, still plenty of bread dough and yeast, lighter lemony coriander, a touch spicy and herbal, not awful; dry with minimal bitterness and a somewhat pleasant bread dough and yeast finish, a bit of lemon too.
I hate gushers. The beer was...fair.
A hazed yellowish blonde with a thick collapsing frothy white head. In aroma, a fruity herbaceous malt with off notes, light spices, troublesome. In mouth, a rather Belgian inspired ale with cloves, fruity esters, bananas, weizen like. Not bad, but I prefer René’s hoppy beers. Bottle 341 ml sseb69 (1909) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 14, 2011
Aroma: raw funky grainy frontal , dry rye like hints , note of hibiscus , red apple and hops. 7-
Appearance: hazed amber gold with large white frothy top. No lace. 3+
Body , Flavour , Palate and Final Notes: thin body accented by wheat like qualities. Soft grainy with gentle tartness. Slight fruity notes behind. Light and refreshing...
Bouteille 341 ml. 5.5%. Couleur trop pâle, malade. Effervescence ridicule lors de la première versée. Arôme d’agrumes, levure belge et un peu de malt. En bouche, moins d’agrumes, plus de céréales. Finale sèche. Correct mais décevant.

Bottle - 341ml. Hazy pale blond body with a fair white frothy head. Relatively thin malty /hoppy aroma with spruce hints. Its fresh taste is slightly dominated by hoppy flavors. It also carries spruce/pine notes. Ends with a short bitter/herbal finish. Hope this won’t make it to the market. Fred82 (2324) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 11, 2011

Appearance : Pale yellow with a huge foamy white head. Nice lacing. Long head retention.
Aroma : Yeast with some fruity phenols. Some spices and herbs. Quite phenolic. Dusty notes.
Taste : Yeasty and a bit dusty. Some herbs and light spices. Finish yeasty with light malt. Herbal notes with faint bitterness. Some wheat, especially on the finish.
Overall : Palate is a bit thin. Interesting yeast and spice/herbs. Nice look. Weird beer. No real structure it seems. Not very good.
pours extra pale yellow with a small white head. aroma of cereals, orchard fruitiness, sweet malts, little to no hops - maybe some herbs. light body, average carbonation.
