750ml bottle. Orange in colour with a large and lingering off-white head, excellent lacing. The aroma is of citrus, yeast, some spice, bananas. The flavour is of white grapes, yeast, slightly bitter, fairly high hop bite. Lightly sweet mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long, hoppy and bitter. A nice hoppy hefe.

On tap @ Saint Houblon. Hazed orange pour with a white head. Zesty orange dominates the nose. A nice breadiness and some lemongrass. A bit of spice and yeast as well. Sort of sweet and citrusy flavor. A lot of orange and bread in particular. Tangy lemon zest, some grass, and a bit of yeast. Very light spice.

Having this right after having their alternate F - Hopweizen (Mandarina Bavaria). This one is the same, but with different hops. Pours a cloudy godlen-amber colour with a creamier head, same good retention and less foamy than the other. Again, some orange citrus and yeast in the aromas. The hop does show more in the nose in this one, not as much in the taste. Still, a mild dry mouthfeel. Same orange notes in the taste with the yeast and grass in the finish. I don’t really feel the wheat in this one though. I preferred the other one.

Pas un fan de Nelson Sauvin mais j’avoue que celle-ci est surprenante. Elle n’a pas de défaut majeur et son parfum me rappelle certains produits haut de gamme vieillis en fûts...

Hazy amber, small white head. Juicy hop aroma, notes of orange, white wine, and yeast wheat. Good moith feel, good carb. Finish is lightly bitter, solid wheat flavors, its lacking german hefe notes, just tastes like a wheat beer withlots of hops. The sauvin is tough to pick out, but there are subtle white wine, grapey nuances, and some vinuous acidity.

(Rating #5494)

Bottle split at Dadsgiving, thanks to Zak, 24/11/13. Hazed orange amber with a decent off white covering. Nose is earthy, tropical jams, bitter orange, sugars, citric dipped straw. Taste comprises orange sherbet, apricot jam, straw, orange pith, light tropcials, wheat notes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, dry grassy bitterness laced with hoppy punch. Decent hopped up hefe.

Bottle at Dadsgiving! Pours a lightly hazed gold with a thin white head. Soft musk and grain on the nose with some citrus and melon. Medium-bodied, gritty earthy hop bitterness, citrus. Finishes with some light bitterness. Tasty.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange with a white head. Fruity, with some medium sweetness, faint dark fruits, a lightly wheaty base, and medium bitterness. Not bad, but there’s really too much going on.
