Bouteille 341 ml. 6.9%. Couleur: cuivre-rougeâtre, mousse beige. Arômes: Érable, caramel, malt grillé. Douce en bouche, l’érable est substile. Note de malt grillé et de houblon. Finale sucrée mais pas trop. Très bonne. barncatmatt (2286) - Cambridge, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 14, 2011

341 ml bottle purchased at Peluso (Montreal), on April 21, 2011. Honey brown, small head. Dominant sweet maple aroma, notes of barley. Taste of malted barley and maple, slightly spicy, slightly bitter. Finally, a maple beer that tastes like maple!

Pours a reddish light brown with a quickly disappearing fizzy white head. Aroma is like a maple forest, sweet malts. Taste is very sweet, maple syrup but not overly sweet as you would find in table syrup. It’s well balanced with the malts and leaves it very drinkable. Although the aftertaste is somewhat sickly sweet.

My Bottom Line:czar (9076) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - APR 30, 2011
Toasted malts and maple syrup coalesce in this pillowy, but perhaps linear, Maple Ale.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam builds a ring around the clear dark red.
-Light fruit jam notes are created by the union of residual sugars and subtle esters.
-Faint mineral angles are tasted.
-The finish is a tad too quiet for my tastes. Some wooden hop bitterness would have helped. But then again, that’s probably not what the sugar shack people wanted...
-The flavor profile is harmonious throughout.
-The aroma doesn’t herald much maple syrup, but the flavor profile delivers, with parsimony.
-The mouthfeel is perhaps my favorite feature; full, yet easygoing, effervescent, yet never prickly.
pours dark copper with a small beige head. toffee notes, some sweetness and warming alcohol, woodsy, port ,and yes, maple, never overwhelming. light to medium hopped - grassy herbalness. light to medium body. nice take of a maple ale. probstblueribbon (3791) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - APR 6, 2011
341 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. SlovakSniper (5561) - Candiac, Quebec, CANADA - APR 11, 2011
App.: Clear deep copper with a thin tan head.
Aroma: Some nice fruity dark malts, caramel, toffee, treacle, dark dried fruits, a touch of brightness, bread crust, toast, sweet and sticky, maybe a touch of smokiness.
Palate: Medium body with full, fine effervescence.
Flav.: Similar to the nose, a pleasant, malt-forward brew, a touch of earthiness and nuttiness, fruits, caramel, brown sugar, some brightness; off-dry with minimal bitterness and a brown sugar and slightly bright fruit finish.
Nothing mind-blowing, but likeable.
Dark red in color with a ring of foam and some lacing. Pleasant aroma of maple taffee with sugary malts. Despite those facts, nothing seems over the place. Flavors are, for sure, maple oriented with pieces of fruits and toasted notes. Mouthfeel is like a young maple tree: medium size but pretty solid. Bubbles are bursts of happiness and help to provide a slick texture. Aftertaste is mainly on the sweet side, a bit far from bitterness. Overall, a good one// Tmavo červenej farby s kruhom peny a niektoré šnurovanie. Príjemnú vôňu javorového taffee so sladkou sladov. Bottle. Dark clear red beer with a thin beige head with average retention. Aroma is sweet malt with some wooden notes, dark fruits, brown sugar and a hint of maple réduit. Flavor is sweet malt with wooden notes, brown sugar, maple réduit, toasted malt and a tiny bit of astringency and bitterness. Medium body moderate carbonation.
