Lubiere (14133) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 11, 2012
A nice copper ale with a thick creamy mocha head In aroma, caramel "malt" with floral and citrus hops. In mouth, a nice caramel with smooth floral hops, well done for a gltuen free beer. On tap at Bieres et Saveurs, Sept 2 2012.

2012-12-17. Crisp brown body with a small beige head. 3+ Modest aroma, sweetish, modest spice quality, grainy. 7+ Flavour is similar, sweet core, grainy, modest fruity character and hops in the finish. 7+ Smooth average plus palate. Alcohols is nearly invisible considering how strong it is. One of the best gluten free beers I have had, and good enough that that is almost a secondary consideration. Not bad! My Bottom Line:
Matcha-like green hoppiness meets the sweetness of toasted chestnuts, while flowers and honey greet grassy bitterness.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam settles atop the gleaming copper-y deep amber.
-The mouthfeel is silky and elegant.
-Drinkability is relatively high for such a potent brew.
-Smooth effervescence and a slender body contribute towards a professional mouthfeel.
-Everything is balanced and leveled to the same intensity rate.

Bottle.

[5016-20121217] 750mL bottle. Fruity hops and grainy resin perfume aroma. Clear, golden amber body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Fruity grains and perfumey grassy hops flavour. Medium body. Decent, sweet, would not have figured out it’s gluten-free. (6/3/7/3/12) 3.1

(Rating #4494)

My bottle [750ml] shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow, jerc & mabel. Pours golden-orange with a small lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of hops first followed by grain, caramel and light spices. Interesting flavour of caramel malt (even though there’s none), a good amount of hops and some sweet and spicy notes. Medium bodied. As a beer it’s pretty good, as a gluten-free-beer it’s very likely the best I’ve ever had.

750ml bottle shared by blankboy with me, gregclow, jercraigs & mabel. Clear bright amber, smallish off-white head. Odd aroma - background sweet (buckwheat honey) and very floral up-front, not overly bitter, but quite floral. Taste is almost cloyingly sweet, borderline sticky initially, but then the floral bitterness kicks in - very grainy, but not yer normal grain ... Light body, moderately carbonated - gets a bit harsh and sweet in the finish. Ultimately I didn’t really like it.

Boutip (6486) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 23, 2012
Bottle: Poured a light brown color ale with a large off-white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of earthy and resin hops is quite dominant with light spicy malt notes. Taste is dominated by earthy and resin notes of hops with a particular malt bill that is somewhat spicy and grainy. Body is a bit light with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Good but does end up showing lighter malt bill then non-gluten free beer would usually have. I can see this being very enjoyable if you have gluten related issue.

Bouteille 750ml.
