Bottle. Pours clear orange hazel, medium beige head, dissipates to nice residual and good lacing. Aroma is indeed smoky, oaky, lemons, some Brett, caramel and dust. Flavor is light sweet and light tart, hints of funk and light plus smoke on the finish. Never really trending to meat, but certainly an odd mix of flavors. Honestly not sure if i like it or not :P theisti (4126) - Kansas, USA - NOV 12, 2015
750 ml bottle purchased at MGM Liquors in Golden Valley, Minnesota. Shared with csbosox and beastiefan2k. The pour is a mostly clear garnet brown with a smallish light tan head. The aroma is sweet malt, light sour and a bit of earth. The taste is sour - more than expected from the nose, earthy peat, and a bit of medicinal cherry. Additionally, there is some smoke in the back. The palate is medium bodied with a slick mouth feel and an oily sour smoke finish. Interesting, for sure, glad I shared. nimbleprop (8376) - SouthWest, Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUN 28, 2015
750ml bottle pours a clear, burnt orange with some cloudy, white head. Nose has an odd mix of salted meat and citrus rind, malt, apple. Flavor has apple and pear, some blood orange, mild vinegar, some soggy bread. Medium bodied, acetic finish. Marheb (5749) - San Diego, California, USA - MAR 30, 2015
Des balbutiements de flocons fumés se cachent dans une complexe soupe acétique et chaude avec une bonne présence des sucres. Cerises, tabac, chocolat noir, fenouil, noisettes et cendres font partis de l’éventail. Ernesto987 (6050) - Arizona, USA - MAR 1, 2015
thanks to whoever brought this. This is very tasty. Good peat flavors. Great tartness. Very tart, nuanced like scotch. Yum

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, dark brownish red pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, vinegar, smoked malts with a hint of applewood, some vanilla in there with some tobacco as well. Taste is a mix of dark fruit, tobacco, vanilla, hints of cocoa powder into a bit of vinegar, lacto, some fruited notes with a hint of oak, finishing smoky, slightly tart. It is very interesting, and the combo works well for me. mnmike (1086) - Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2014
split this bottle while watching the Vikes in Dec. 2014. Better when it warmed a bit. Strange brew, but I kinda like the peat vs. sour interplay ghostbeer (213) - Nebraska, USA - DEC 14, 2014
This was a birthday present that I loved. I like the regular bancreagie and this one didn’t disappoint. There is a sourness but it isn’t overdone. It works well with the peaty smokiness and huge malt bill from the ale. Very good. Hypo_Luxa (59) - Osaka, JAPAN - NOV 8, 2014
Peat aroma builds in the aroma. Sour dough bread.
Taste is sour, vanilla, cherry, peat but not too much, just the right amount. Apple cider. Bitterness is similar to chewing on the but of a dry cigar.

Bottle, shared by Ferris. Orange amber body, off white head. Leathery peat married to a Flemish sour brown profile, caramel and dark fruits, old apples. Not puckeringly sour, and not astringently leathery either, so I guess this comes off as balanced in its own way. Certainly very interesting; I liked it!
