COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

Bottle. Poured a deep dark brown with no real head to speak of. Aroma was sweet, with a little chocolate and dark malt. The flavor followed this with some slight burnt taste and a hint of coffee. Very slight bitter finish. Just a little runny, but overall a good brew. I’d seek it out again.

12 oz bottle rec’d in trade with emeinz; thanks Eric. decent nose of chocolate; I love oatmeal stouts but this was as dissapointing as any I have tried - aroma was faint; VERY thin watery drink with little to no flavor..meh.

Had it on tap at Jack O’Connor’s. Almost no head. Dark brown almost black in color. Sweet taste and sweet finish. I would look for this beer again.

bottle. pours well. not too heavy a head. slightly bitter/burnt taste to start with a satisfying, sweet finish. usually not a huge fan of this style, but this isn’t too heavy. would not hesitate to buy another six-pack.

12oz bottle picked up in Duluth. Opaque brown-black with a massive, steady, soapy rusty beige head. A rather well made offering, nails the style. Big milk chocolate tones, some nice bready oats. Subtle balance of bitterness, from the cocoa to the hops. Lots of lactic tones. Bitingly bitter up front, but fades into a sweet finish. Solid.

Bottle. Poured a black color with a medium off-white creamy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Medium toasted chocolate malt and coffee aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium roasted bittersweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of average duration
