COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

Pretty average stout. Tried it on recommendation of employee at specialty liquor store and glad I only purchased one. Good pour, good nose but average, watery taste that was not very carbonated.

Pours a jet black with almost no head. Nose and taste are coffee & oatmeal. Decent but pretty common. Nothing I would need to try again. That said I would drink it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

[Bottle] Pours dark brown with a small, light brown head. Aroma is primarily roasted malt and milk chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, milk chocolate, a little lactic, mild bitterness, notes of anise and some oats. Medium mouthfeel, smooth, long finish. Overall, a solid stout that really has no glaring faults at all. Definitely one of the best (if not the best) Brau Brothers beers that I have had.

The taste is has some nice smooth chocolate with some creamy sweetness. The mouthfeel is almost velvety, very very smooth, but somewhat light. Overall, I honestly can’t find anything that I really don’t like about this brew. It’s incredibly drinkable. Awesome stuff.

Pours very deep brown near black with a ring of soda like fizz. Light aromas of roasted grains and kind of a cream soda vanilla thing. Smooth crisp flavor starting out with a sweet sparkling carbonated light grain but passing through a light hearted British malty fruity ale thing to a final resting place that brings out a light chocolate coffee bitterness and roasted tones held under but the light sweet nature of the overall beer. Earthy dark character with a hint of creaminess and toasted bread burnt on the corners. Decent brew for a modest sweet stout.

From bottle. Pours black with a big beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, not too sweet, and very little bitterness. Smooth medium mouthfeel.
