COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

The taste is has some nice smooth chocolate with some creamy sweetness. The mouthfeel is almost velvety, very very smooth, but somewhat light. Overall, I honestly can’t find anything that I really don’t like about this brew. It’s incredibly drinkable. Awesome stuff.

Pours very deep brown near black with a ring of soda like fizz. Light aromas of roasted grains and kind of a cream soda vanilla thing. Smooth crisp flavor starting out with a sweet sparkling carbonated light grain but passing through a light hearted British malty fruity ale thing to a final resting place that brings out a light chocolate coffee bitterness and roasted tones held under but the light sweet nature of the overall beer. Earthy dark character with a hint of creaminess and toasted bread burnt on the corners. Decent brew for a modest sweet stout.

From bottle. Pours black with a big beige head. Lots of lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, not too sweet, and very little bitterness. Smooth medium mouthfeel.

Bottle. A - Pitch black with a small, foamy, bubbly, thinish, cafe colored head. Disappears pretty fast leaving a slightly patchy, thin lace. S - Interesting aroma. Starts with a slightly smokey, roasted malt. This gives way to a chocolate and espresso aroma with a slight sweetness. A faint vinous tart/astringent aroma. T - Starts with the faint charred, smokey flavor. This quickly fades to a milk and dark chocolate along with a hint of roasted coffee. Hints of sweet lactose/creamy taste starts here with a nice undertone. Finishes with a slight tart and earthy flavor. M - Medium body and good carbonation. Very silky smooth. Really nice body. D - Easy to drink with interesting mix of flavors. Taste like a milk stout along with a smokey and slightly tart flavor. I could regularly drink this. Notes: Interesting milk stout. Nice flavors with an interesting smokey kick. Great body and nice flavor. Not amazing, but very nice.

Pours dark black, smells of light oat, roasted malt, cola, little dark chocolate. Taste is smooth and easy drinking but a little too carbonated and I wish I got more milk. Certainly not bad.
