Poured from 12oz bottle, pours black with a tan head and some spotty lacing in the glass, the aroma is mostly of chocolate with some roastiness as well, the flavor has a ton of chocolate with some caramel as well, the mouthfeel is extremely smooth as it goes down, darn good stuff here. Bottle from khoffman43 pours deep dark amber with a tan head with little retention. Nose of coffee grinds. Taste begins with coffee grinds, light chocolate. Mild bitterness as most of balance comes from the roast. Body is medium, if not a tad thin. MrBunn (2848) - The Wet Side of a Dry Town, Pennsylvania, USA - AUG 12, 2012

Drank warm. Dark black. Creamy chocolate. I pick up on the anise, but only after reading that it has it. I’d like to try others from this brewery.
