COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moo Joos combines the full body of a Milk Stout with the silky smoothness of an Oatmeal Stout. Lactose sugar in the boil contributes a full and creamy mouthfeel while toasted and flaked oats in the mash round out the beer with an oily texture. A deep malt bill builds layers of roasty notes with hints of chocolate, coffee and anise. A traditional British Cask Yeast is then pitched, which leaves us with a fruity, malty ale.

12oz bottle. Dark pour with a soft creamy head. Blandish aroma. Chocolate malts with a tad bit of coffee. Flavor carries a little bit of milk lactose sense with chocolate but nothing that really blows me away. Fairly good but Ive certainly had better.

Drank warm. Dark black. Creamy chocolate. I pick up on the anise, but only after reading that it has it. Id like to try others from this brewery.

Dark brown pour, black appearance. Minimal head/carbonation. Aroma is coffee and cream, leaning towards the sweet cream side. Light vanilla. Flavor is roast malt and mild dark fruit that finishes with a black olive flavor. Somewhat dry and roasty. Relatively thin mouthfeel. Drinkable.

Pours black with a thin beige head that has great retention. Aroma is roast, chocolate, grain, earth and planty hops. Flavor is roast, chocolate, an odd nutty note, sort of like what comes out as a nutty note to me in some cheddar cheeses, not a bad way to be likened to cheese for a beer... Medium, sticky entry leading to an oily finish and a moderate carbonation. Not bad at all.

Bottle. Brown black pour with a tight kahki head that dissipates to a collar. Aroma nice cereal and coco coffee along with a roasted malt. Tastes is bitter roasted malt and chocolaty roasted burnt malt. Palate is medium nice fizzy carbonation and finishes chaulky.
