12 ounce bottle. Dark pour tan head. Nice nose. Cocoa, chocolate, milk lactose, some sweetness in the body. Good. Patrickctenchi (6807) - Cox’s Knob, columbus, Indiana, USA - DEC 27, 2017
Pours black with a small tan head.
Oatmeal, dark chocolate aroma.
Taste is lightly roasty, dark chocolate malt, oats....
A bit of coffee bitter, and a slight lactic tang.......not as creamy as some, but very good. Nsanders (1190) - St Paul, Minnesota, USA - APR 16, 2011
Near black with a quickly fading brown head. Very rich, malty aroma with a light smokey note. Moderately sweet turns to a slight bitter finish. Smooth, but lighter than expected, fizzy. loafgoat (53) - Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2011
Nice coffee/dark chocolate finish. Aroma is average for a stout. Bitterness seems to be more from the roasting of the malt (black patent?) Than the hops cbfobes (2888) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - NOV 30, 2011
Poured from 12oz bottle, pours black with a tan head and some spotty lacing in the glass, the aroma is mostly of chocolate with some roastiness as well, the flavor has a ton of chocolate with some caramel as well, the mouthfeel is extremely smooth as it goes down, darn good stuff here.

bottle thanks to exiled. black pour with a cream head. nose is lactos, roasted malts, and chocolate. smooth on the palate, milk, roasted malts, chocolate, and light sweetness. superspak (6208) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - JUL 3, 2012
12 ounce bottle into pint glass, no bottle dating. Pours clear fairly pitch black color with a 1 finger fairly dense tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Some decent spotty lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted malt, milk, cream, toast, oats, and light coffee. Pretty nice aromas with good strength and balance. I can honestly say this is the first stout I have had that has a true milk aroma component. Taste of chocolate, roasted malt, cream, toast, oats, caramel, and light coffee. Slight roasted bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, roasted malt, cream, and oats on the finish for a short bit. Quite dry on the finish. Good balance of flavors, but it is a bit on the bland side of things as far as robustness. Light-medium carbonation and medium bodied; with a fairly creamy and slick mouthfeel as expected. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a very slight warming after the finish. Overall this is a good milk stout. A little bland, but has nice balanced flavors; and is certainly enjoyable. oobawa (1858) - Tennessee, USA - JUL 4, 2012
Tasty, with a massive roasted java front that screams fresh coffee. That no beans were used in the recipe never fails to impress me; the magic of malt is a wonderful thing. Sweetens as it warms, developing underlying notes of chocolate and dried fruit. Finishes dry, with a prolonged coffee fade. Moo Joos makes a nice pint, a bit of a middle ground between a sweet and a dry oatmeal stout. rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 13, 2012
very dark brown with medium head. plenty of chocolate and coffee. doesn’t seem particularly sweet to me, but it could just be the coffee acidity that covers it up. either way, it’s a very well done stout. jjgmd (2289) - Coral Springs, Florida, USA - NOV 26, 2012
Pours a dark brownish black pour with a beautiful large mocha head. Nose is chocolate, coffee, licorice and malty. Taste is full of malt, with sweet chocolate, and espresso. Finish is sweet and slightly bitter, nice sweet stout. Quaff 8 / 10
