Ring Neck Braun Ale is the initial offering in the Brau Single Batch Series of beers. A perfect autumn ale, this big double nut brown ale is dry and fruity, yet surprisingly drinkable. Nutty flavor is derived from both biscuit malt and toasted oats. A hint of raspberry and classic British hops round out this mild and complex brown ale.

drpimento (3814) - La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 2, 2017
Aroma is malty, cocoa, mineral. Flavor is a little like nose and chocolate milk that's fruit-flavored and not that great. Average body and too sweet of a finish.

On tap at the brewery (Marshall, MN). Poured clear, dark brown, small tan head no real lacing. Aroma of nut, mats and even some chocolate. Taste is nutty, lots of malts coffee and chocolate. Nice, very drinkable.

12oz bottle to tulip. Pours dark brown with glowing red tint, absolutely no head to speak of. Aroma of cocoa, dried fruit, caramel, roasted nuts. Taste of the same with a super sweet berry finish. Mouthfeel is no carb, light watery for style. Can’t say I’m impressed.

bigcat03 (340) - Columbus, Nebraska, USA - SEP 13, 2015
Bottle poured into an English pint. Had a ruby brown color and a thick tan head. Aroma is very malty with a decent amount of chocolate and a hint of fruitiness present. Taste starts off pretty fruity with a hint of chocolate but quickly shifts to biscuit with a hint of hops. Finishes off with a light hoppy bitterness. Palate is just right for the style with low carbonation. Very fruity for a brown but I like it!

Bottle. A- Malty, subtle dried fruits. A- Dark amber color, clear liquid, tan head. T- Cooked veggies, spinach dip, subtle fruit, malty, caramel. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish. O- I wasn’t sure if I was drinking a beer or pureed spinach dip from a chain restaurant. This had a lot of vegetable flavor to it although the descriptions on the bottle were there too, just minimal.
