UPDATED: JAN 1, 2014 Tap. Brown cola pour with a clingy white head. Aroma of caramel and yeast. Medium mouthfeel. Taste is reflective of the aroma. Very nice brown ale. Pailhead (6540) - Rochester Hills, Michigan, USA - OCT 17, 2011
Bottle: The aroma consists of light chocolate, caramel, fruit, and nuts. It pours a transparent (when held to the light) brownish-red with a one finger beige head that quickly fades to a soapy film. The flavor starts with a quick dose of light chocolate and caramel. The finish has some fruitiness and some light roasted nuts. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall, an okay Brown Ale, but the fruitiness seems slightly out of place. joeymacaroni (309) - Wagontown, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 3, 2011
pours a beautiful deep chestnut color with a thin, off-white head. nose is heavy with brown sugar, toffee, nuttiness, and a light butterscotch. flavor is similar to aroma, with a bit of breadiness and dark fruit. nice and light, oily with a light bubbliness in the finish. finish is long, with a sweet maple syrup-like flavor balanced by walnut and toffee. n00bface (137) - Minneapolis, USA - JAN 16, 2013

Sampled on draught at the ABR 07 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear coppery amber brew with a slow dissolving off-white head that has good retention and nice lacing. Aroma of fruity caramel malt, a touch of dark berries, some roasted nuts with some yeast funk. Taste is medium bodied, lightly carbonated with flavors of roasted caramel malt, some light berries and roasted nuts. Finish is slightly gritty/grainy with a fruity aftertaste that quickly disappears. Actually, not too bad for a brown ale. incutrav (577) - Woodbury, Minnesota, USA - OCT 31, 2007
Tap at Stubs. Hmm, fairly high hopes for this one. I got a lot of coco sweetness to it, but overally thought it was quite thin. REally drinkable, but not as much flavor going on it the way of hops or nuts as I would like. Not bad overall. sliffy (2040) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 4, 2007
Bottle thanks to tytoanderso: Pours a reddish brown with a tan head. Aroma, caramel, some dried fruits, and some spice. Flavor, nutty caramel, some spice and some earthy notes. heemer77 (5358) - Urbandale, Iowa, USA - MAY 4, 2010
Dark brown colored body with a light tan head. The nose is rich caramel with hints of milk chocolate. There is also some leather along with a little bit of oranges. The taste is fairly dry with some leather and a little bit of apples core. There is also a little bit of dirt in the finish. Decent.
