Single bottle from HyVee. For a "single batch" beer, it sure gets around. I chose a Nonick pint to pour it into; comes out a rather yellowish brown. Smell is lots of brown roast malts, some nuttiness, and even a hint of coffee. Head dwindles quickly to a scrum. Taste is loaded with nut brown malts with a bit of peat. Some earthy and herbal English hops take the usual ale esters out of consideration. A big mouthful of flavor makes it easy to simply enjoy one and put the rest away for later. Not too much later, I get the feeling this would not age well.
reddish brown some tan foam. aroma toasty caramel some oaky notes. Tastes creamy slight sour berries very light cocoa toast. great clean crisp but with lots of depth. I think this guys are knocking their browns and dark stuff out of the park! Ronritter (773) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - JAN 30, 2017

On tap at the brewery (Marshall, MN). Poured clear, dark brown, small tan head no real lacing. Aroma of nut, mats and even some chocolate. Taste is nutty, lots of malts coffee and chocolate. Nice, very drinkable. euniceradio (541) - Worthington, Minnesota, USA - NOV 30, 2015
12oz bottle to tulip. Pours dark brown with glowing red tint, absolutely no head to speak of. Aroma of cocoa, dried fruit, caramel, roasted nuts. Taste of the same with a super sweet berry finish. Mouthfeel is no carb, light watery for style. Can’t say I’m impressed.

Bottle poured into an English pint. Had a ruby brown color and a thick tan head. Aroma is very malty with a decent amount of chocolate and a hint of fruitiness present. Taste starts off pretty fruity with a hint of chocolate but quickly shifts to biscuit with a hint of hops. Finishes off with a light hoppy bitterness. Palate is just right for the style with low carbonation. Very fruity for a brown but I like it! HuskerTan (2211) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - AUG 16, 2015
A- Malty, subtle dried fruits.
A- Dark amber color, clear liquid, tan head.
T- Cooked veggies, spinach dip, subtle fruit, malty, caramel.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, astringent finish.
O- I wasn’t sure if I was drinking a beer or pureed spinach dip from a chain restaurant. This had a lot of vegetable flavor to it although the descriptions on the bottle were there too, just minimal. edgallow (4211) - nashville, Tennessee, USA - MAY 10, 2015
