Hazy brown - amber beer. Good cream coloured head. Smooth softish palate with super fine carbonation. Mild sweet tangy bourbon. Coconut. Mild dried fruits. A little spice in the finish. Decent beer but needs something else to bring it to greatness.
Bottle courtesy of GT2, thanks! Hazy brown color, bright white head. Aroma of spiced brown bread. Taste is very boozy and sweet spiced pumpernickel. jtclockwork (16581) - , New Jersey, USA - JUL 11, 2013
Bottle shared at small gathering at my house. Pours reddish amber with tan head. Nose and taste of oak, rye whiskey, caramel, toffee, dark fruit and honey. Very smooth. Lighter medium body still masks the alcohol well. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - AUG 12, 2012
The pour is a clear copper color with a small tan head. Light citrus and pine hops on the nose, definitely a lot of rye, bread, and toffee. There’s a hint of toast, some whiskey, and a nice bit of vanilla. The flavor is a bit more pine forward than expected and somewhat bitter. Sweet caramel and toffee malts, vanilla, and whiskey to balance that out. Quite a bit of rye malt, light citrus flavor to it as well. bhensonb (15194) - Woodland, California, USA - JUL 29, 2013
Bottle shared by Marcus. Pours dark amber brown with beige bubbles. Aroma is alcohol. Full bodied. Slightly sticky. Flavor is boozy, rye, oak astringent. Far from dry, but the sweet is not obnoxious. Pretty tasty stuff. Heat is omnipresent, but not bothersome. Ratman197 (14834) - Arvada, Colorado, USA - MAY 7, 2012
