Bottle pour. Decent beer here that doesnt quite have as much hop profile as the marketing would have you believe.

A wonderful American IPA. Just the right amount of bitterness. Love this beer on a hot day for that smooth, crisp and refreshing flavor!

On cask for Firkin Fest at the Happy Gnome in St. Paul 09. Had a medium pour with a good malt character accompanied with medium hops. It was a bit big to be a pale ale malt-wise but I guess the hops didnt kick it into IPA mode. Pretty good brew overall.

Im sure this beer is past its prime, but I have no mercy in rating if theres no best-by date on the bottle. Wish more brewers would do this. Pours a dirty orange with no head and not much lacing. Aroma is caramel and sour yeast. Taste is a yeast bomb, then some funky malt, then a moderately bitter finish that dries out. From the other reviews, this was likely a bad batch or old bottle. Just noticed its a winter seasonal, so its probably at least 8-9 months old. Hops are a mere afterthought, making me think somethings not right here... Ill finish the bottle, but only because the other Brau Brothers bottle I just opened was spoiled as well and Im not pouring two bottles down the drain in a single night. Get it together, people.

Bottle pours copper gold with small head and some residual sheets. The aroma is quite fruity, almost surprisingly fruity, cookies, and some floral stuff. The flavor is nicely bitter, malty, fruity, and quite decent actually with a rather substantial palate. Im pleased.

Pours copper/brown. It is a sweet malty beer with some fruity hop highlights. Very malt forward for a pale. Alchohol is very present. A bit too sweet for me. I will have to say they are getting better. The first Brau beers I tried tasted like extracts that could be done at home.

Sheep Head is a nice IPA. The hop profile is delightful and the malt balance is prominent, but not overpowering.
