12 oz bottle at home. Aroma reminds me of a smokey Scotch . . . not what I expected, but I like it. No barn or sheep detected . . . mostly Scotchy malts and some grassy hops. Tastes nothing like Scotch . . . great malt/hop balance, though the hops come to dominate on the finish. They’re a bit bossy for me to say this qualifies as a great balance, though since I love hops i"ll let it go. The hops have a nice taste -- a bit rustic, earthy, somewhat light but they pack some punch, too. Welterweight hops! Tasty -- I’d love to buy this out on tap instead of Summit EPA any day. Here’s to dreaming.
Nice aroma of spice and caramel malt from a clear copper pour. Taste is hearty spice and sweet malt giving way to a sweet boozy finish. JDBaker11058 (2497) - Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2017
appearance: clear orange copper, half a finger of creamy light tan head with excellent cling. aroma: caramel, marmalade, candied orange peel, graham cracker, toast, grapefruit, hint of pine and cardboard. taste: piney orange marmalade up front, then caramel and cardboard-y malts, some grapefruit and tonic water notes. finish: chewy, slightly syrupy with a bit of heat forming in the back of my throat; bitterness rises and holds the end. notes: Not a bad beer. Not my favorite style, and it didn’t quite work for me. Bottle from the Beer of the Month Club.

Seemed quite solid, towards an amber or a red IPA, Booze well hidden. Thanks for this Andy!
On tap at the brewery. Great beer; poured copper brown, clear with white head. Aroma is malty, fruit and hops highlights. Taste is sweet, some roast, some caramel notes and some alcohol. Very good beer and one of my favorites from these guys. Easy to drink and very enjoyable.

12oz bottle to pint. Pours cloudy iced tea color, dissipating off white head. Aroma of pine, fig, grass, raisin. Taste of same with finish of burnt toast and biscuit. Finish is as bitter and dry as they claim. HuskerTan (2549) - Ravenna, Nebraska, USA - OCT 10, 2015
A- Caramel, bready, citrus, pine.
A- Burnt orange color, hazy liquid, off white head.
T- Caramel, pine, bitter, grassy, citrus, candy.
P- Full body, average texture, average carbonation, unbalanced finish.
O- I don’t really have any good ways to describe this beer, other than it was not to par as far as I felt it should have been. Just felt all over the place. csaso (2372) - Missouri, USA - OCT 12, 2014
Bottle - average size foamy head, murky dark copper color, well balanced with citrusy hops, solid malt backbone, and some yeasty complexity, very good overall

6/14/14. 12oz bottle from Happy’s in Cedar Falls. Amber red pour with a small khaki head that fades and laces pretty loosely. A couple of whiffs and sips had me searching for a bottle date... with no success. Oxidation on the aroma, old hops, caramel, lots of caramel, toasted caramel, and almost a saltiness. Bitter flavor, dusty, burnt caramel, lots of caramel, some leather and tobacco, and a lingering alcohol burn. Eh.
