[backlog] 12-06-16 / bottle. Strong malt, yeasty. Dried fruits. Better on colder days than in summer time. I started rating my beers with Untappd and a few basic notes. Now I want to rate them on ratebeer. So my rating sometimes lack some information. Just ignore it, it is for my personal statistics. Untappd-Rating 2./5

Drunk straight out if the bottle. 500ml. Nice design and name. Roasty wheat aroma with caramel notes. Very spicy taste and a long roasty finish. Great beer!

mikeyo1 (855) - Linköping, SWEDEN - JAN 30, 2015
Bottle @ home, from Hopfen & Malz. Pours a dark brown liquid with a massive, creamy beige head and good retention. Aroma is sweet and fruity with pear, cloves, dates, licorice, dark bread, spices and some ripe banana. Soft palate with medium carbonation. Moderate caramel sweetness initially and a dry milk chocolate and banan peel finish with balanced bitterness. Flavors of dark bread, plums, red apples, spices, some clove, licorice.

bierkoning (13596) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - DEC 31, 2014
Bottle. Dark brown color. Roast, pear and a hint of ash in the aroma. Malty sweetish roasty flavor with pear. Lacks some balance.

Moravius (1403) - Berlin, GERMANY - NOV 16, 2014

TAR (2777) - Blue Ridge Mountains, North Carolina, USA - AUG 19, 2014
Bottle consumed in Dec. 2013, best by Sept. 2014: Deep prune with ruby glints. Thick, creamy, dirty-white head. Expressively phenolic nose boasts ripe plum, vanilla, black licorice, banana bread, dessert apples, bubblegum, chef-grade pastry cream, spice cookies, sassafras, fruitcake, fresh tobacco and a hint of melanoidins and caramelized sugar. Fluffy mouthfeel. Explosively phenolic and plasticlike, initially, with fiery clove notes ensuing. Ripe plum vibrancy easily wards off the faint red apple dullness which slowly creeps in. Plastery yeast scratches at the palate alongside a touch of toasty and cottony dark maltiness which stops just shy of roast levels. Layer after layer of intricate nuttiness unravels amid an earthy fallen-leaf dryness and heftier banana cream pie lusciousness. Puttylike yeast leaves its mark throughout as a chocolate pudding-like richness buttresses the sturdy wheat core, which erupts with lustrous succulence and refined body-boosting starches. Minerals brilliantly scratch at the wheat-driven starches while dabs of coconut and vanilla enrich the characterful yeast. Finishes brightly banana breadlike, as sweet plum flesh adorns the bouncy caramelized malt and starchy, tongue-hugging wheaty succulence. A singular and nuanced, yet deeply complex rendition, that doesn’t suffer from sugar overload or alcoholic excess. Has an intoxicating aroma that you just can’t stop smelling, like a bakery filled with fresh goods. Love this brewery!
