JoeinDahlem (1597) - Berlin, GERMANY - OCT 22, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 22, 2017 Sweet, flabby, brown stuff tasting of toasted grain. Lacks real malt depth and any bite whatsoever. Dull business.

ferryman72 (61) - NORWAY - OCT 5, 2017
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2017 Dark, almost regal copper color with an equally majestic, offwhite head. Very faint aroma. Bread and yeast. Tastes fresh and sweet but not heavy. Light palate and no aftertaste. I'd drink it every day.

3.5
Piepenhenrich (1230) - Steinbach, GERMANY - SEP 9, 2017
One very decent brew, which lives up to the expectation on a Franconian-standard beer, rich in flavor, full-bodied, malty, savory, slightly bitter. Well done.

Bottle shared, courtesy of Michael. Clear brown with white head. Sweet malts, caramel, chestnut, hazlenut. Moderate sweet and bitter, more bitter than sweet. About medium body and soft carbonation, bit heavy malty, bready feel.

3.2
JefVerstraete (3636) - Oosterzele, BELGIUM - JUN 9, 2017
Bottle from Biershop Bayern. Dark amber colour, creamy foam. Malty beer, bread, light caramel. Taste is light sweet, dry, bitter, bready. Easy drinkable. Not bad.

beerstar88 (587) - Bavaria, GERMANY - MAY 11, 2017
Bernsteinfarben und klar mit gut haltender Schaumkrone. Sehr würziger, fast rauchiger Geruch. Malzig würziger Antrunk, vollmundig!

3.5
Juggernaut84 (279) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - APR 21, 2017

3.2
Thomas_W1 (962) - Rastatt, GERMANY - JUN 13, 2016
Flasche 0,5l: Dunkler Bernstein, leicht rötlich, leichte Trübung, sehr kräftiger stabiler feinporiger Schaum; in der Nase leichte Süße, kräftige Würze, Getreide, eher trocken, leichte Bitterkeit, Röstaromen, Kaffee, Haselnüsse; im Körper kräftige Würze, eher trocken, Röstaromen, Röstmalz, cremig, kräftige Kohlensäure, dunkle Süße, dunkles Karamell, ungeröstete Kaffeebohnen, Kaffee; angenehmer würzig-süßer Nachgang mit kräftigen Röstaromen

2.7
Kampfar (285) - Osnabrück, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2016
UPDATED: JUN 3, 2016 From 0.5L bottle; pours clear, slightly reddish, medium to dark brown coloured with a medium sized, white head. Aroma: light floral hoppy notes, slightly malty, otherwise flat. Taste: caramel, slightly sweet, bread, only very slightly bitter. Light bodied, bit less carbonated, slightly watery mouthfeel. It?s OK but there?s nothing special in this beer.

harrisoni (19338) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2016
Bottle from Rewe Bamberg. Clear chestnut colour lasting cream head. Caramel aroma. It’s a sweetish caramel lager that is a little typical to Franconia. You ask for a lager here and you can get a malty caramel lager. Well this is one of those. The goose in the river kind of made it
