Bottle shared, courtesy of Michael. Clear brown with white head. Sweet malts, caramel, chestnut, hazlenut. Moderate sweet and bitter, more bitter than sweet. About medium body and soft carbonation, bit heavy malty, bready feel.

Bernsteinfarben und klar mit gut haltender Schaumkrone. Sehr würziger, fast rauchiger Geruch. Malzig würziger Antrunk, vollmundig!

Juggernaut84 (279) - Berlin, Berlin, GERMANY - APR 21, 2017

UPDATED: JUN 3, 2016 From 0.5L bottle; pours clear, slightly reddish, medium to dark brown coloured with a medium sized, white head. Aroma: light floral hoppy notes, slightly malty, otherwise flat. Taste: caramel, slightly sweet, bread, only very slightly bitter. Light bodied, bit less carbonated, slightly watery mouthfeel. It?s OK but there?s nothing special in this beer.

harrisoni (18578) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - MAY 6, 2016
Bottle from Rewe Bamberg. Clear chestnut colour lasting cream head. Caramel aroma. It’s a sweetish caramel lager that is a little typical to Franconia. You ask for a lager here and you can get a malty caramel lager. Well this is one of those. The goose in the river kind of made it

3.3
Foerdifuxx (364) - Franconia, GERMANY - APR 28, 2016
Clear reddish amber coloured beer with a medium-sized, good-lasting, creme-coloured head. Aromas of caramel, wood, earthy tones, herbal and grassy hops, lemon zest, dried apples and some basement aromas. Taste is malty with toffee, light bready, overall silky and not too sweet with a citrus touch. Low carbonation, creamy texture, light to medium body. Easy and refreshing.

3.4
hauxe (771) - Butzbach, Hesse, GERMANY - APR 6, 2016
Pours dark ruby colored from the bottle and leaves a lingering creamy crown. The generally weak aroma is somewhat bready, with caramel hints; it is pleasant enough but fails to draw you in. A caramel malt overtone dominates the taste, accompanied by a sour hops bitterness that keeps the overall experience from being too sweet. Beyond the addition of a light smokey touch the overall taste does not develop further. Overall this is a fairly heavy bodied beer, and oily on the palate. Good, but not something I’d keep a crate of in the beer cellar.
