Pours a clouded amber color, together with a huge, spongy and froth head.
Smells of fresh cut grass, pine needles, hay and a soft toffee sweetness - simple, yet very intriguing at the same time.
Perfectly soft carbonated, refreshing, light bodied beer, with a defining bright crispness. Utterly clean and balanced, keeps you drinking in big gulbs.
Tastes of straw, with a nice bread flavor to it, revealing a chewy toffee quality, which gets immediately toned down by an uprising, noble hop bitterness. The hops provide an herbal bite, creating a pleasant dryness, which stays till the end. At the same time, a rustic, yet soft maltiness compliments to the hops, with just a light hay sweetness cutting through, among bread dough. Finishes incredibly well balanced between the dry herbs and the soothing, rural malt impression.
This is amazing, I love every aspect of it. It looks great, its head won’t receed at all, smells and tastes awesomly focussed, drinks incredibly balanced and addictive. omhper (25107) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - OCT 11, 2012
Cask at Akkurat, Stockholm. Hazy pale amber, incredibly firm rocky head. Aroma of hay with a whiff of smoke. Dry with medium body. Soft, yet really firm. Doughy and fruity, mildly smoky with just the desired amount of butter. Deep, complex character, yet mild and drinkable. Growing late bitterness. A laid back, perfectly balanced beer displaying the best of Franconian craftmanship. jonas (7571) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - NOV 12, 2012
Bottle. Cloudy messing colour, a little floculation, huge rocky golden head. Wonderfull spicy aroma: Honey, flowers, grassy hops. Good chewy body, honeyish malt, light salty edges, big grassy and aromatic hop notes. Sparkly smooth mothfeel. Yeasty fruit and armatic hoppy aftertaste. Lovely moreish beer. cubs (10635) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - JUN 30, 2012
Bottle @ Mega Bavarian Beer Tasting in Schlitz. Clear golden orange appearance with a white head. Quite floral, potpourri, citrusy, a bit chalky aroma. Tangy orange citrusy, dandelion, floral yeasty, fairly noble hoppy flavor. Grzesiek79 (4295) - Radom, POLAND - NOV 25, 2015
Many thanks for this beer to kevnic2008. Piwo o wdziecznej piance lecz srednio trwalej. Lekko metnawe i zamglone, koloru jasno bursztynowego.

Umgespundet at Akkurat, Stockholm.
As the beer is served in a half liter glass and not in a typical Stein kruus on could enoy the fine white head but you also see that it is quite clowdy (as a keller bier should be) but I got the last of the cask. Small but fine nobel hop arom. Malty with a high bitterness for a Keller bier but still low compared to usual lager. Big drinkabillity. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2015
Bottle @ Bamberg. Pours hazy yellow with a white head and lacings. Straw, good fresh grassy hops and biscuit and bread. Smooth and soft with a hoppy finish. Very Nice. oh6gdx (26488) - Vasa, FINLAND - JUN 20, 2012
Bottled. Amber colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white foamy head that leaves a rich lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some grains, mild toasted toffeeish notes as well as some slight hay and grass. Flavour is rather similar, but nicely balanced. A quite bodied beer. Pleasant. harrisoni (18577) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 6, 2013
On tap at the brewery. Hazy golden amber colour lasting off white head. Malty aroma. Nutty malty in mouth. No real hop but some residual sting on the finish. Actually the hop builds. It’s an unfiltered something. It’s a hoppy kellerbier I guess. Tasty malty unfiltered and frankly bloody lovely. Beer of the day so far. Hops hops and unfiltered softness. Niw that is what I came to Franconia for. Stunning and you won’t get this quality of beer anywhere else in Germany or the world. Very good pivnizub (10614) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - MAY 20, 2012
Euro2-Flasche(gekauft beim Brauer in Merkendorf): Deep golden, hazy, big and absolutely stable white head; grains, grassy hops and a touch of yeast in the nose; very soft, almost medium bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; lingering and smooth bitter-sweet finish, accompanied by traces of yeast. A well crafted franconian brew of very decent quality…
