Bottle. Clear brown colour, almost no head and carbonation. Malty aroma, notes of earth, caramel. Slightly bitter in the finish. Complex beer, well brewed. Schroppfy (2360) - Łódż, Warsaw, Poland; Michigan, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2010
Fresh, as always, from Wine of Dreams, Warszawa. Pours clear even after rocky walk, train and tram travel. Incredible copper color; this is not your average brown dunkel. The head is great; ecru, pock-marked, lovely. The aroma is mostly dry earth and aromatic noble hops, subtle, but very nice. The flavor is caramel sweetness minimally, but quite hoppy - out of style hoppy, I think, but I love it. Love it. Great beer for the end of the long travel and workday. Wagner is way underrated - or maybe I am just getting them super fresh. Perhaps a bit thin-bodied. Sweetens up a little at the close. Best before Nov 2010... jonas (7985) - Garching b. Bottle. Red chestnut, big offwhite cream. Umami roast aroma. Roasty base, rye bread, rich herbal and grassy hoppiness which remains on the palate to counter. Fine sparkly mouthfeel, chewy, fullbodied. Intensive hoppy Dunkel. aleigator (945) - GERMANY - APR 23, 2017
Pours a clear nutbrown color with a bubbly, fluffy eggshell head.
Smells of caramel malts with some sweet toffee to them, balanced by a rustic whole grain bread quality. The nose is all abouts the malts, pleasantly complex, sweet and inviting.
Drinks very well, light and refreshing with a well rounded malt profile, which gets surprisingly well enriched by an effervescent, slightly mineralic carbonation.
Tastes of toffee malts with glazed caramel among whole grain bread, minerals and a bright, aqueous effervescence. Develops a pleasant leaf dryness with a note of bakers chocolate during its finish.
Very light but with a well developed malt profile which is far away from monotonously sweet.

Draught at BBF13. Good spicy hop aroma. Clear brown colour. Big stable tan head. The flavour is malty with a good spicy hop and distinct bitterness to balance. Bamsen78 (5539) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - AUG 7, 2013
Draught @ BBF16. Pours clear darkish amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with a touch of fruit. Sweetish, malty and fruity flavour with subtle notes of hops and caramel. Mild, slightly bitter finish. OK. pivnizub (10766) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - FEB 11, 2007
Bottle: Amber coloured, mid-sized lacing white heat; worty and aromatic (!) hoppy nose; sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; light to medium aromatic bitter-malty finish. Wow, a very unusual - hoppy - but very tasty Dunkel Geiserich (4575) - Linz, AUSTRIA - JUL 5, 2010
Bottle: Creamy, brownish head, chestnut brown color. Bready aroma, notes of candies and hazelnuts. Flavor is malty, medium sweet and quite caramelic. Roasty notes, dark chocolates and a metalic bitterness in the end. Tasty stuff. downender (8774) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle from a REWE in Forchheim. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head and a few bubbles. Slightly bready malts, with a touch of sharp fruit, leafy hops and a gently bitter finish. Very drinkable for the ABV.
