Jukkabro (3484) - Tampere, FINLAND - MAY 31, 2012
(BBE 3/2012) Dark red-brown colored with medium sized dark brown head. Sweet and roasted, licorice aroma with some nuts as well. Medium bodied. Flavor is more dry with roastiness and nuts, aftertaste is dry still with hops and coffee.

BeerViking (4798) - Brentford, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 18, 2013
UPDATED: JUL 29, 2013 Bottle bought in Bamberg. Pours a deep almost mahogany brown with a tight taupe foam and a nose of roast caramel with a faint hint of nuts and cocoa. Palate is roasty and burnt malty, a little very faintly tart wineyness, maybe a touch of liquorice in the bitter finish. Nice, but the burnt bitterness is a little overpowering. A second bottle was far better - still roasty and malty, but now with a touch of plumminess, smooth and hoppy, without the burnt bits.

(Bottle, 0.5 l, at One Pint Pub, 20130720) The beer poured dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramell, toasted malts and grass. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were toasted malts, caramell, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. Nice balanced dunkel with not too much sweetness.

Ein schöner malziger Antrunk mit einer feinen Hopfennote. Der Kohlensäuregehalt ist top dosiert, das macht’s sehr süffig.

omhper (25153) - Tyresö, SWEDEN - SEP 28, 2007
Cask (Bayerische Anstich) at Akkurat, Stockholm. Clear nut brown, small head. Roasty and nutty with a touch of licorice. medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. There’s grass and licorice and aniseed as well as butter, and the malt feels vital and ful of life. fairly low bitterness. A well balanced beer that may lack that extra something that is hard to define.

Maria (10212) - Thisted, DENMARK - AUG 3, 2008
The color is dark, red-brown and the head is huge and nice. The aroma has notes of grain, syrup and roasted malt. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of caramel, grain, light citrus and in the long, dry and slightly bitter finish I also find hints of coffee.

3.2
Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - FEB 22, 2009
bottle. Clear brown colour, mid-sized head. Malty nose. Malty with hints of chocolate and caramel, some nice but shy hops in the finish. Slightly fruity. Very pleasant.
