UPDATED: DEC 21, 2011 multiple bottles at du sonne in bischberg. bright clear gold, perfectly formed rocky white head that seems to last forever. exceptionally intense and vibrant hallertau nose... spiced green hops, floral, zesty, doughy... the bitter, dry green bean and sweet sugar snap pea hop notes are incredible. the depth of this pils is unmatched - bright, effervescent, full, frothy body, perfectly crisp, exceptionally snappy and minerally, wonderfully crisp and refreshing. dust/minerals/granite, all there to breathe in and marvel at. this is a sorely unappreciated german pils. My Bottom Line:popiela (869) - Poznañ, POLAND - NOV 27, 2016
This softly bready Pils shares flowers and white pepper before herbal bitterness peeks through the light honeyed sugars.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam laces atop the shiny golden.
-At first, this one appeared a tad underhopped, but it quickly becomes apparent that the flavour dosage is meant to keep you interested when you are reaching the last half of your pint. Hop build-up is quite pleasant.
-This is a very classy brew.
-Mouthfeel is supple and silky.
-Yet another smashing, elegant lager from Zur Sonne.
On tap at the brewery pub.

Bottle shared on the train from Nuremberg to Freising during day 3 of the Bamberg Jolly of January 2015. Pours clear, pale yellow with a fluffy white head. Dry cereal, some light hay bitterness, floral notes, biscuits. Light bodied with average carbonation. Tasty finish, more cereal, biscuity pale malts, slight bitterness. Very enjoyable. Light gold, gentle sparkle, thin head. Light hop aroma. Low-moderate bitterness with a crisp herbal hop character. Clean, flawless but not their most interesting offering. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - AUG 21, 2010

On tap Bamberg. Clear gold Amber. Aroma grapes grass punchy aroma with lots of promise. Grassy flavor is a slight let down but the brewer’s raw talent is clear. I just wish they used better hops. Quack-Duck (9484) - Down South, GERMANY - JUN 18, 2017
draught at the brewery. Clear pale yellow with a tall and creamy white head, like beaten eggwhite. Grassy-resiny hop aroma. Light-bodied, clean and crisp with a pleasant malty base and good grassy, resiny hops. Lingering hoppy finish.
