Tap. Dark amber color with slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet caramel, dried fruits (dried dates, figs and raisins), a little sweet sherry. Taste: wine, caramel, sweetness and dried fruits, a little hop. Gangstergafje (1387) - Capelle aan den IJssel, NETHERLANDS - NOV 8, 2017
08-11-2017; bottle; at home (bought at a German supermarkten, close to the Belgian border, somewhere in Germany). They had a lovely shelve reserved just for BraufactuM, with a huge selection and gift packages. Man, did I have a hard time choosing one...
Anyways...the beer looks very nice. The colour of the beer is rather dark for a Märzen, but I like it. The colour of the beer is a blend between dark amber, and brown, maybe just coppery red. On top of the beer a nice layer of soft, off-white foam is formed. Foam retention is average. A nice drape of foam is left after a while. The beer has a nice cloudiness. Quite a lot of flakes are present in the beer, but I think it's because my refrigerator is set to a temperature that is to low, causing the protein in the beer to flock and sediment. No problem.
The smell of the beer is nice. I like it. It has a nice toasty malt aroma. Besides the toasted malt I smell some syrup, candy sugar and some caramel. It reminds a bit of Bockbier. Hops give a nice fruity touch to the smell. It is nice, but it could have been a bit stronger for me.
The taste of the beer is also nice. It is a bit more flavourful than most Märzen beers. It has nice sweet malts, with a nice toasty touch. Some caramel, candy sugar and syrup company the malts flavours, with a fine touch of liquorice. The hops give a nice bitterness, bringing good balance to the beer. Just like the aroma's of the beer, the flavours could have been a bit stronger, to make it even better.
The palate of the beer is nice. Medium body, slightly sticky texture and high carbonation. The finish is fine. Some alcohol, fruity hops and a slight sweet malt touch, but a bit to thin overall. AndreasP (338) - Copenhagen, DENMARK - OCT 31, 2017
Rather malty beer with lots of caramel. Notes of spices and herbs and almost resembles a Belgian Dubbel! Craftakt (291) - Hannover, Lower Saxony, GERMANY - OCT 8, 2017
Schnabelhund (108) - TAIWAN - SEP 29, 2017
Marzus pours a clear dark amber to orange color and its off-white cream head is between medium-lived and stable, and leaves nice lacing behind. The simple nose consists primarily of caramelized malts and floral, citrus-zesty hops. These notes carry over to the palate, wherein dry caramel combine with notes of dark bread crust, followed by notes of medium-bitter zest of the mid-palate before it fades into the medium-long finish in which the alcohol shines through. The texture is quite foamy. Solid, but not quite the gourmet beer it is marketed as.

Bottle from Real. The beer starts round and smooth. Moderate bitter with a nice caramelly grainy body. Not too sweetish, nice bittered parts. Round and mild, moderate bitter grainy, smooth and round. Nice. PintjeFritz (433) - Baden-Württemberg, GERMANY - JUN 30, 2017
Nice bottle with a lot of information but not the drinktemperature, please do this.
