This is a classic german landbier. Unfilitered, golden amber, with a noble nose of hops. Soft on the mouth, far too drinkable. Subtle noble hop background, nice light toasty maltiness.

Grisch vom Hahn in der Wiesenmühle getrunken. Prima Durstlösche mit feinen Hopfennoten. Sehr weich.

Koelschtrinker (22488) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - AUG 25, 2015
Süß karamelliger, trocken bitterer Antrunk. Die Süße bleibt konstant, insgesamt wässriger werdend, spritzig, mittel würziger Nachhall. Ok. 11/10/9/9//9

Flasche 2l. Süffiges Gebräu im Landbier-Stil. Bemerkenswert die sehr präsente kernige, karamelige Malznote. Hopfen sehr dezent im Hintergrund. Sehr gut gelungen, auch aus der Flasche.

Tap @ Wiesenmuhle. Pours dark amber with a creamy head. Caramel, fruit, grass and toffee beneath as it warms. Greasy feel. Medium bodied. Bitter finish!

From tap at the brewpub. It’s unclear red amber with a huge, creamy head. The aroma is lovely fruity-spicy, bready and signals fresh brewed beer. The flavor has a light sweetness and notes of spicy fruits/hops, newly harvested grain, bread and the finish is slightly dry.

Ordered and the brew pub. Came to me a cloudy amber/orange with a pillowy long-lasting head. Smelled citrusy and bready. Tasted sweet, not bitter. Light/medium body. Abrupt bitter finish with little aftertaste.

Draught at the brew pub. Creamy White good mostly lasting head. Dark yellow colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Some soapy notes. Average moderate bitter finish. Oily palate.

Tap @ brewery. A bit hazy, dark orange appearance with an off white head. Fairly toasty, light caramel, husky, grassy aroma. Tangy, toasty, cracker, husky, light fruity flavor. Ok.

UPDATED: FEB 27, 2011 Tap at the brewpub. Dark amber, hazy, rocky head. Good malt, light dust, good grassy hop portion. Chewy body, sparkly mouthfeel. Light honey aftertaste.
