Editor’s note: IBU increased from 60 to 74 and ABV went from 6.6 to 6.2 (late 2013)

It’s interesting how Laguna from BrauKunstKeller become West Coast IPA, while original Laguna (I have 2014 release) is more like well balanced East Coast. From malty, caramel, pine, mandarin and fruity aroma to sweet malt, resin, biscuit, orange and floral taste. Pleasant mild hoppy aftertaste leaves refreshing feeling on the palate. I will miss this beer a lot.

Dark blond and hazy. Aroma and flavour have strong syrupy, fruity hop notes. Very bitter finish.

bottle @ Naiv / Frankfurt Germany --- Fresh aroma of malt. Cloudy dark amber, ivory head, streaks and blobs of lace. Taste is clear malt with medium carbonation on the swallow, then smooth hops, moving from bitter to citrus in a long finish. A well done West Coast IPA.

UPDATED: JUL 7, 2016 Average, off-white head that diminishes rather quickly. Average malt and heavy hops with grapefruit and pineapple flavour shining through. A full and rather thick texture with a nice bittery (be it alcoholic) aftertaste that holds long. Price-quality is fine, and that deserves additional points.

From 0.33L bottle, pours pale amber colored with a off-white head. Aroma: citrus fruits, orange, herbs. Medium bitter initial taste, less fruity than in the aroma, slightly malty, long and bitter finish. Palate: medium to low carbonation, light to medium body with slightly dry texture.

Bottle @ home. Slightly hazy orange colour with a medium to large white head. Smells fruity and hoppy. Tastes hoppy, fruity, crisp and clean. Pretty nice. Mediuk body, nice carbo.
