COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Super Bier!

Pours a golden-amber colored beer, unfiltered with a nice, froth head. Smells of tart yeast, white bread dough, dried herbs and a sweet, well pronounced toffee note. Has a lower carbonation, drinks almost flat with a very thin mouthfeel, which turns entirely watery during the finish. Tastes of straw and malts with a whiff of garden herbs and sweet toffee. Turns overly flat and watery and flat with lots of prevailing toffee. This is simply too thin and one dimensional to become decent.

September 2016 - 500ml swing top bottle in Berlin, as ’Braumanufaktur Potsdamer Stange’, 4.5%, BB Dec 2016. There’s something quite clinical about the word ’braumanufaktur’. Pours a hazy orange into my silver topped tankard, sparkling with a dense foamy white head. Aroma is airy, buttery, creamy, white bread. Body is smooth, tingly carbonation, touch frothy. Taste is buttery, dried old citrus peel, a touch floral, pebbles, some talc, soft bitterness. Something ’oily’. OK. (2.8)

(Draught at Hopfenreich, Berlin, 25 Aug 2016) Golden amber colour, hazy, with frothy off-white head. Malty nose with bread, hay, cereal and a touch of banana and peaches. Malty taste with notes of bread, cereal, hints of dried fruit, toasty grain, banana and a mild grassy bitterness, Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fairly complex, but tasty and well balanced. Quite nice.
