3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
50 cl bottle, in Copenhagen from Irma City on Østerbrogade near Sankt Jacobs Plads. Pours a medium walnut-amber color with a large foamy, off-white head that diminishes fairly quickly to a thin skin of bubbles and some spotty lace. Aroma kind of caramelly malts with ripe summer fruits and hints of citrus and herbs - malts seem to dominate the nose in a way that is unusual for an IPA. Flavor is also unusual for an IPA, much more British in style than American (maybe that’s the point) again featuring fruity, grainy and somewhat biscuity malts, with the hops contributing a crisp and well-balance bitterness, herbal and just about discernibly citrus - more what I would expect and want from an APA rather than an IPA. Medium body, tingly, creamy carbonation. Certainly interesting and drinkable in it’s own right, but not my preference for an IPA. Just a note, I’m rating this more on the enjoyability of the beer, rather than on style.
Den smager mest af en classic med lidt ekstra humle i. den halve liter er næsten for meget til en nydeøl. Karstenborg (1078) - Hasselager, DENMARK - DEC 13, 2015

This does not taste much IPA, rather like a well-hopped weissbier. Different and surprising. HoppyBudgie (833) - SOLA, NORWAY - SEP 28, 2013

Cloudy straw body with a froathy white head that melts down to a small lacing one. Aroma of green apples, lemon zest, grass. Medium body, sourish dry aroma with lemon peel, moderated hops. Drinkable ale, probably an IPA on the English side, but not enough.
Gylden, hvid skum, lidt uklar, lidt citrus, let bitter, god tørstslukker. Masser af kulsyre
