Light orange colored with cloudy appearance. Little yellow head. Honeyish aroma with strong glue note, some leafy note here too. Medium bodied. Flavor has same glue dominating, lemon and some sourness here too. Not too good, might have gotten old. KimJohansen (10510) - Frederiksberg C, DENMARK - SEP 8, 2010
Cloudy amber with a medium beige head. Slightly hoppy aroma with malty and fruity notes. Fruity flavour with hoppy and malty hints. Finished dry and bitter. Ungstrup (38152) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - JUL 19, 2010
Bottled. An unclear golden beer with an orangey head. The aroma has notes of malt as well as lighter notes of butter. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and lighter notes of butter and brettanomyces, leading to a tart finish. Odd. Papsoe (25060) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - JUN 19, 2010
Bottle 37,5 cl. RBESG Rome 2010. Pours a cloudy opaque golden with a rough off-white head. The aroma is sulphurous, phenollic and Bretty! Not really what you would expect from a Doppelbock. Medium body, fruity, tart and sulphurous with an astringent finish. Yet another massively infected Braustelle beer. They really should be banned from bottling their beer - c’mon, these infection issues have been going on for ages. 030610

3rd June 2010 - Brasserie 4:20 - Bottle - Cheers Alex! Hazy amber beer, a little bit of a gush on opening. Light soft palate, very airy. Sweet sherbety orange that is also a little sour. Finishes soft and dry with a little caraway on the back of the tongue. Could drink loads of this! I’m a minority of one. It might be slighty off but it tastes great so I really don;t give a toss! Bottled (from bierzwerg.de) BBE 24.06 (Sudnummer 55/09). Hazy orangeish colour with huge foamy off-white head. Aroma is alcohol, some sour wood sweet malts and also some cookies. Flavour is strongly acidic wooden along with some sweet malts and sour wood. Leaves a semisour after taste. Tastes more like a sour ale than a bock... Probably something not right with this one, but still tasty... Embrouille (2854) - SWITZERLAND - APR 13, 2010
Bottled 375ml. Ordered from www.bierzwerg.de. Extremely pale for a dopplebock. Malty nose with a hint of lime, apple and pear. Astringency apparent- not typical for the style. Plastic sneaking in. Sour. Not at all what I would expect from a Doppelbock. Interesting in any case. But I have to admit, I didn’t really enjoy this beer.
