Woody, herbal, sweet grain nose. Flavor is same plus lemon marmalade, spicy hops on the finish, mild bitterness, light butter feelz. Interesting, slightly sloppy take on kolsch.

On tap. Pours a cloudy old with a white head and some lacing. The aroma and taste are both biscuit and malt, with a mostly dry finish and some slight spiciness over a light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: JAN 9, 2016 Hazy yellow color with no head. Aroma of caramel, yeasts, fruity, buttery. Taste id similar. Finish has quite some bitter hops. Smooth and refreshing. Not bad. Update: From the tap at the brewpub. Very hazy orange-yellow color with white head. Aroma is citrus fruity, yeasty. Taste is light, citrus fruity, with a bready body. Bitter finish. Nice!

Bottle as Freigeist. Unfiltered grey-orange body. Semi-buttery, reminds me of US Kolsch. Bright, but the butter tones are unacceptable to me. Doesn’t really capture the style. Neutered hospital Kolsch. The lack of filtration gives it some body. Overall not that impressive of an offering.

lightly cloudy gold-orange with 1-inch egg-shell head. Aroma is sweet corn grain, some sweet grass/hay, and a bit of light brushy growth. Touch of clean caramel sugar in there. Body is light-medium-light watery, slightly starchy. soft, light, medium-coarse carbonation with a medium-soft burn. Flavor is dried grass, slightly metallic, touch of short-lived bitterness in the finish, bit of dried (none-sweet) grain. Not a whole lot else. Overall, an excellent smelling Kolsch with an OK flavor and lacking body.

Bottle to pilsner glass. Cloudy deep yellow with a huge everlasting pillowy head. Lots of sediment at the top of the bottle, which is a new one for me. Clean crisp and bready. Classic hops in the middle and a bitter dry finish that makes me want another sip immediately.

Some grass. Golden pour with good head and lacing. Light bitter finish. Good and easy drinking. Lots of barley. Tap at pizza paradiso.

Has a cloudy, yellow color, with a small head. Soapy yeast, grass and subtle citraic notes define the aromas. Light-bodied beer with a dough wheat foundation, on which crisp, bitter hops with hints of citrus peel settle. Malts are foremost bready, with a toffeeish hint to them, which creates an interesting counterpart to the refreshing sour and bitter characteristics of the beer. Soapy notes from the nose are well integrated into the strawy body of the beer, illustrating the moderate bitterness very well. Easy drinkable, with an enjoyable complexity.

On tap @ Braustelle. Hazy yellow with small white head an good lacing. Aroma is hoppy and grassy with citrus notes, light spiciness and floral presence. Taste is also grassy with biscuity malt, floral notes, citrus and light spiciness. Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Fluffy mouthfeel. Light bitter finish. Dry and grassy too. Quite different than the tradtionnal Kölsch served in town. It’s quite tasty and super easy to drink though.
