Tap (Braustelle, Cologne)
Rubbery aroma. Sharp lemony sourness too, almost tear-inducing, hint vinegary. Medium palate, but obviously sharp, carbonation. Taste similarto aroma, more of the rubber, woodier, touch of old school desks, acidity even more balsamic. No sign of any alcohol. Drinkability great. Dont consider the above strange words as negative - there was enjoyment at every stage.

Tap (Braustelle, Cologne) (6+:4:6+:4:13=3.3++)
Basically black, a small beige head. Woh, sweet salty sour spicy sweaty smoked aroma. Funky, but nice. Rubbery burnt taste. Smooth palate carbonation soft. Fullish. Pleasant tingle on the tongue both from hops and smokiness. Covers 6.8% under the craziness. Enjoyed.

Dark red hazy with little light brown head. Aroma is christmas spices, clove, caramel, some forest as well. Taste is only sour, finish is more sourness, not as creamy as expected in the mouth. Awkward.

Sehr ansehnliche tief dunkelrotbraune Farbe. Der Geschmack "feingliedrig". Klar suerlich, aber nicht zu extrem & gewichtig. Dunkles Obst. Sehr komplex und abwechslungsreich. 0,33l/ca. 3 Euro direkt von der Braustelle, Kln.

Bottle 0.33l at home, Nivala. Vintage 2013. BBE November 2016. Thanks to Erzengel! Colour is cloudy reddish brown with large white head. Bottle was little bit of gusher. Aromas and flavours: Berries, red berries, dryness, sourness and some malts. Very strange. Contaminated perhaps? I dont recognize this beer from other ratings. Probably totally different beer as fresh.

UPDATED: JUL 3, 2016 Dark brown with sufficient foam. Nice sour smell. Wild sour smell with lactic sourness. Strongly carbonated. A stronger dark tart taste in the aftertaste. a bit overkill, but thanks for crafting it.

UPDATED: JUN 28, 2016 2014, tried November 2015. This might be overloaded, let?s see. Hibiskus... there. Peated malt... there. Cask....a bit. Maybe. Not balanced enough. But nice to drink. The carbonation is not as bad as with their other Sour Ales. Too much milk feeling here as well. 7-3-7-3-13 = 3.3. 2013, tried June 2016. Aroma is slight tartness, wild yeasts, vineous. Taste is more balanced than I remember the younger bottle, hints of hibiscus as well, refreshing and easy to drink. Medium carbonation, I like. 7-3-7-4-15 = 3.4.

Erzengel (8176) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - OCT 26, 2014
2013er edition. Smooth and malty beginning. Nice dark sour, woody aroma, dark red fruit. The mainpart is intense fruity-malty, only slightly bitter. Fresh and intense. The aftertaste has wood, fruit, probably a bit of floralness from the used hibiscus-flowers, smooth and nice with a moderate bitter finish! Great stuff!
