UPDATED: NOV 29, 2013 22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of bourbon, oak, some chocolate and a little leather. Flavour is similarly complex, with loads of bourbon, wood, vanilla, a little cocoa and leather. The barrels are used to such perfection here. The bourbon and oak are pretty front and centre. An awesome replication of Adam from the Wood.

Bottle thanks to Chris. Pours a cloudy amber with small frothy off white head. The aroma is yeast, banana, clove, and rye. Sweet roast, light caramel, raisin with sweet finish. Good.

Bottle... Pours clear and brown with flashes of copper and a small, creamy, white head. The aroma offers caramel, toffee and a warming port nuance. Full-bodied with jazzy carbonation. The flavor is well-balanced; malty and boozy with subtle, woody bitterness - accompanied by caramel and vinous notes. Warming alcohol finish. Bottle courtesy of newcigarz!

Bomber from Belmont. They had a good bit of this. Pours a deep black purple color with a small off-white greyish head. A big malty and rye whiskey nose. The flavor is complex and certainly reminiscent of AFTW: sweet berries, toffee, age, whiskey and oak, heat, something harsh and warm like a shot of whiskey in the throat, earthy, plum, smoke. Deep down this is a fruity smoky ale. The heat is a tad bit rough. Good brew.

To borrow from KISS - "You wanted the Best you got the Best the Hottest little Beer in the world!" Terrific color, flavor and finish. This was a true treat and a compliment to both Alan and Fred. Cheers Breakside.

UPDATED: SEP 28, 2013 Tap @ Breakside’s Anniversary event... Poured dark brown, near black with a thick, frothy, light tan head. Barrel notes on the nose. Smooth with a nice booziness. Not really any pronounced smokinesss, just a nice whiskey tone with some sweetness and alcohol warmth.

22 oz bottle. Murky brown with beige foam. Nose is caramel, wood, whiskey and tobacco. Medium body with a clenching tang. Taste is sherry, whiskey, tobacco and prune with hints of smoke.
