Red with a white head, and a sweet sprucey aroma with wood and all. Taste is the same, and has a barrel spirits top note, with a hint of the sourness that might entail. $6.5/12oz ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bomber from Belmont Station. Pours opaque light brown with a slight, transient beige head. Aroma of bourbon/rye, floral, wood. Med + body. Flavor is aroma with some brown sugar and leather. For me it’s somewhat complex. Intriguing. Tasty. Went quite nicely with the Chimay cheese Marcus provided.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours orange copper with a transient beige head and a fruity malt aroma. There is a fruity malt flavor too, with a mild rye bitterness and a bourbon finish. Complex and tasty. Goes perfectly with Chimay Grand Cru cheese.

Bomber, bought in Oregon. Caramel malt aroma with notes of dark fruit, rye, whiskey, oak, booze and pine resiny hops. Pours cloudy amber-ruby colored with a thin tan head that has some retention and excellent lacing. Starts with caramel and dark fruit sweetness as well as some earthy rye notes. Finishes dry and smooth with nice whiskey, oak, pine resiny hop bitterness and quite a bit of booze. Quite nice even with the large amount of booze at the end.

Hazy, light amber-brown. Medium head. Served in a chunky goblet. Sweet fruity nose, quasi-Belgian with a lot of esters and mild sweet malt notes. Drinks big and thick. Sweetness is not bad, masks the alcohol a bit. Not entirely sure what they are going for, but it’s a decently balanced strong ale.

A very good and unique red. Pours a very cloudy and bright Amber with a white head. Smells of orange creme candies. Taste is lots of orange and cream and candies, along with cucumber. Very unique. Had in the bottle.

Bottle (22oz): Cloudy reddish brown with 1 finger head that disappears fairly quickly. Aroma is mostly bourbon. Taste is bourbon, followed by some dark fruit and sweetness with a little bitterness in the end. I think I would have liked a blend that had more of the blond and less of the barley wine.

The description of this beer is quite impressive..... Murky, muddy, copper pour with a medium beige head. The aroma is an absolute Bourbon barrel bomb. Huge Bourbon notes, wood, hints of vanilla and very earthy, slightly sweet pine resin hops with some toffee and caramel. Big, viscous mouth feels with a more lively than expected carb. The finish is medium bitter with a strong soapy pine character. Toffee and caramel are very present, with a gigantic Bourbon barrel finish. It’s good, but it’s a barrel bomb and an acquired taste.

UPDATED: NOV 6, 2016 Thick Amber color light layer of head. Raisin Carmel wood vanilla in the aroma. Tart and almost fruity from drys to a nice peek of hoppiness then the woody vanilla bourbon comes through to carry you home

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver; 10oz
Cloudy dark amber color with compact head. The aroma is boozy, with fruity esters, dark berries, wood. Medium body strength; it has a moderate sweetness degree, but fought (rather than peacefully balanced) by the strong alcohol presence; flavor of dark malts, non descriptive, hint of dark fruits, slightly earthy; expected bitterness, nothing is said about the hop quality. Way too boozy, and the rye whiskey hardly works with beers, it’s too harsh.
Very chaotic beer.

Bomber from Tavour. Nose is light bourbon, vanilla, mango, apricot, and toffee, very fruity! Rusty red with a medium lightly lacing beige head. Flavor is lightly bitter, lightly sweet, white peppery, and of tropical fruit. Excellent BA ale.
