A decent Irish Stout, but it’s no Guinness. I like how it is light, but really would benefit from a bump in alcohol content. Travlr (25767) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 29, 2015
Draft. Pretty close to black color, brown head. Aroma of coffee grounds. Taste is earthy coffee, dry finish. Tasty. BuckeyeBoy (8281) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 25, 2015
On tap at Oxford suites lounge. Pours out dark brown almost black topped with a tan head. Nose is roast malts vanilla chocolate. Taste is more of the sweet chocolate dark roasted malts and a touch of bitterness on the end. DSG (15119) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - MAR 16, 2015
[2/26/15] Draught at Breakside Brewery in Portland. Black with a small tan head. Roasty aroma with some coffee and a chocolate note. Roasty flavor with coffee, rather dry, with a light acidic hint, a chocolate hint and a bitterish finish. Decent. vyvvy (6639) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - FEB 7, 2015
On tap at brewpub - Pours dark brown with a reddish tint and a tan head. The aroma has roast, chocolate, cream and vanilla. It has a light crisp body with soft carbonation. It starts off crisp and roasty with some cocoa, woodiness and paper. The finish is light and has lingering roast. For a lower alcohol Irish stout this is pretty solid.

A: Solid black with a creme color head.
N: Coffee, cocoa, biscuit, a hint of vanilla, tobacco.
M: Creamy body, lively carbonation.
O: A very good beer for a tough style. Not big, but flavorful. BeerTrek (11) - - AUG 30, 2014
Lacks aroma but may be too cold, served on tap at Old Chicago Portland. Nice tan head, tight bubbles, not too creamy. Medium build, not heavy, nice roasty middle with coffee notes, finishes hoppy and dry. May be heavy on the black patent malt but great flavor for a low alcohol beer, reminiscent of a dark mild. Definately worth a session. 50belair (3680) - Florida, USA - JUN 11, 2014
On tap at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a kaki head. Roasted malt aromas. The taste follows suit. Decent body and mouthfeel. MrChopin (4304) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - APR 25, 2014
tan, puffy cream head laces well. Roasty nose has too much acid, contrasts with roast, but sweetness kept in check. Flavor similar, front showing light roast and acid, high carbonation accenting bitterness mid before heavily roast finish, again low sweetness as roast lingers on. LarryBeast (616) - - FEB 6, 2014
On tap at Pine Box. Super dry. Mild coffee, cocoa, wood smoke, toasted bread. Light, flat, thin for a stout.
