COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Lunch Break is our hop forward session beer, built for enjoying any time of day. Whether you call this beer a Session IPA, American Pale Ale, India Session Ale, Mini IPA, or something totally different, we know that you’ll find this beer to be full of juicy, classic hop flavor with just enough malt backbone to keep things in balance. We reserve some of our favorite hops--Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and Centennial--to use in this beer, which gives the aroma a heady mix of lemongrass, orange marmalade, grapefruit, pine and resin. Hop heads who seek a big punch of hops in the nose need look no further!

Amarillo is prominent in this one. Went out to Seattle to see my kid brother and drank a shit ton that first night there, so I’m lacking the finer details... but I do recall for the most part it reminded me a lot of Daisy Cutter by Half Acre.

Bomber. Grapefruit hop aroma with notes of lemongrass, orange citrus and some pine resin. Pours clear golden colored with a large, soapy white head that has excellent retention but little lacing. Starts with grapefruit hop citrus and acidity with notes of orange and lemongrass. Finishes dry but smooth with grapefruit hop flavor continuing before the pine resiny hop bitterness comes through at the end, but doesn’t overwhelm the palate. Nice session IPA.

From tap. Hazy gold with a thin white head. This has the expected grapefruit piney nose, plus other fruit aromas. Tropical flavors with a splash of sweetness, fair hops kick. Light bodied, light finish. Still, decent session beer.

Bottle from The Beer Mongers, Portland. Aroma is fruity hops, zesty citrus, citrus peel, lemongrass, grapefruit, and a touch of pineapple. Flavour is lightly sweet with a moderate to medium dry finish. Body is medium. Very crushable with a clean tropical fruity aroma and a modest flavour.

Draft at The Hop Shop. Clear golden color, big white head. Beautiful aroma of earth and flowers. Taste is earthy fruit. Very tasty. Cheating on the session angle though.

Strykzone (7420) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - MAY 10, 2017
Bomber from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. A big white head leaves some lacing. The beer is clear and honey golden. Aroma is citrus and pine. A classic west coast hop nose and flavor. Pale malts add more sweetness than is expected. This settled into a nice fruity beer. Bitterness became somewhat muted after a bigger start.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Pours gold with a white head. Nose of citrus and pine. Some fruit. Medium body. Flavor is citrus, pine, and light fruit. The malts here are on the light side and the finish is lightly bitter, dry and fruity and gets even more flavorful as it warms. Classic West Coast IPA flavor nicely done in a session beer.

Bottle from Albertsons. Starts out nice, medium golden pour with small foamy head.Muted aroma, equal parts malty and hoppy. Taste follows closer to an APA than an IPA, mild bitterness, Slightly sweet and fruity, but dry bitter flavor lingers.

On tap in Greenville SC in a Gouden Carolus glass. Clear golden-amber body with a short and weak white head. Aroma: hops with some tropical fruits and faint hints of bread and caramel. Flavor: largely follows the aroma. Mild-moderate bitterness. Feel: the body is medium; medium carbonation. Overall: hoppy session ale.

Pours a hazy bright yellow with white head. A strong citrus, lemongrass, and sugary aroma. A citrus hop, tropical fruit, and pine taste. A lingering citrus and light bitter hop aftertaste.
